When was the last time you didn't have to report someone?

I'm currently stuck in the elo match making hell that Rito has designed. Trolls, AFK's, verbal abuse, racism, and homophobia are all traits of the people I play with and against. Personally, I rarely get players yelling at me, as I rarely ever chat, but I still report the people that just talk down and spew hate across all other players. League is by far the worst community I have ever seen in terms of in game hate and elitism. It's not even Bronze though from what I read; in Platinum, and Diamond I hear about the rage quitters and toxicity is just as rampant.

From what I understand, I don't think my reports even hold any merit anymore; since the more you report, the less Riot cares about it. Out of 10 games I play, I have to report for at LEAST 8 of them. This has nothing to do with "suck it up, stop being a bitch", I am simply doing what Riot has intended. Simply reporting people uttering racist remarks, death threats, severe verbal abuse, and just AFKing at the sign of a first kill. When I report, I also give lengthy reasons to why I am reporting, and what the issue was. I also think Riot needs to have some subheadings; most of the reports I do include Toxic behavior, AFK, and feeding, all with the same player.

So how often does everyone else use the report system? Am I the only one that uses it daily, or at least almost every single match? Has anyone actually been banned because of people using this system? I never hear of any follow-up from Riot but going forward I am hoping punishments become more severe. I remember a few months back, Lyte was banning accounts and their seemed to be a type of cleansing that happened over a weekly period, but that has since gone. I'm not sure if that was just a scare tactic by Riot that they can no longer keep up due to man hours, but I wish it was an on-going project.

TL:DR - Riot, give feedback for us on our reports, also let us see reports against us. Reading what other people say / think might actually change your frame of mind when you play again/

Honestly that's just way over the line into harassment territory. The state of anyone else's account is not your business, and you should not be privy to that knowledge without them directly telling you. I'm sorry they gave you a shitty game, but you can't expect Riot to let you stubbornly try to get them banned/chat restricted a month later.

And yes, I use the report feature almost every game. I have since I got my first chat restriction.

I agree with you here. But I almost never use the report button in game. It has to be something very blatantly bad, hmm one example would be someone else getting harassed for no good reason, after one or more people ask the person to stop Nicely and they continue is one reason I would report.

Another would be any form or death threat. But, honestly I find more times then not a few comments asking the person to be nice and play usually works,,,then if not I Shut up and play. Usually encouraging said picked on player. And for others out there I will consider Not reporting if you ask me to. This depends on the situation though lately I have been thinking I should use report more..Any feedback about this ?

Furthermore, the question I asked early still bothers me. The more I report, the more worthless my reports are? How is this even true? Imagine if you could only call 911 three times a year, and anytime after that the local police don't listen to what you have to say? I really hope this is not the case. I wish the tribunal was up and running again, because I would enjoy going through some of the reports. Racism, death threats and bullying really does irk me.

Look this is a myth !! Your reports only mean less if they are false reports. If I play 10 games right now and find 10 toxic players and I report each one then my report standing is still in a good state. If I go out and report the next 10 people for things they don't do then my report standing goes down. I wish people understood this.

Saying that though what I really with is Riot would come on and explain it here on these boards when this issue comes up :) And hey who knows maybe someone will come say what is going on. Because I can see an issue with my above statement and I can sum it up like this..Hey Nerak, how do you know Riot thought your reports were valid ?

I remember one game here is what happened to the best of my memories and it could be a bit off also I will leave a lot out.

Started in pre-game lobby I picked Lee Sin Mid...person gets upset and says "Lee go jungler you faggot". Our Jn says no it's fine Lee can mid I've seen it before. I say "hey I just want to have fun K?" The 1st person keep hurling homophobic slurs at me. I tried to make a joke at 1st.."I'm not gay, I'm Bruce Lee! haha" (line from the movie). The person says something like 'if your Bruce Lee you can bend over and ...blah blah you can guess the rest"

We start the game and I say "GLHF" and get more slur thrown at me. I started to say something mean back and stopped in mid sentence as my lane opponent came at me unexpectedly. Thank You because I am glad I didn't get out what I was going to say lol. At some point the aggressor stopped talking for a bit and game went well.

That was until he was in my lane ( that was fine) and I kill someone he thought I took his Kill...well, not true he was running back to base and I did more damage anyway. But, I apologize to keep the peace as he had started the slurs again. Things got a big ugly on his part...I had decided I wouldn't argue, This is my normal policy anyway ;)

Zip to end lobby ( we won btw) and he dashes out of their after my teammates yell at him. They asked me if I was going to report and I was sitting here thinking about it..Duh !! Yes I should report and I did ! But at the time ( about a year ago ) I really thought well maybe I'm being to sensitive. Well...But to your Question..I did report and I will report any such behavior in future..

EDIT: Not that this should make any difference BUT...I'm not gay so I wasn't saying anything to make anyone feel as if that was an issue in game..His insults came out of nowhere...

Well I myself use the report system very rarely as i don't really care what others say, there are those really bad times when someone just keeps flaming over and over again despite the fact that you are wining. I've had to report some people for just being : ''Oh i don't get mid? Okay ill go feed the enemy team have fun on your promos! :)''That was simply rude as that guy literally ruined my promos item 3070 .

After about 2-3 k games I've encountered only few people that actually deserve being reported and/or banned for given reason such as - Intentional feeding, Verbal harassment, Offensive language and other kinds of harming/harassing others during the 20-50 minutes of the game. So yeah I myself report people only if they deserve it, and the same rule goes against me.
