So, raiding MMOs.

I tried to get back into GW2, and while it's my favorite MMO combat hands down, it just feels like there's nothing to do. Coupled with the fact that no one lets me play the classes I enjoy (despite pulling comparable or higher DPS / whatever)... I just can't have fun. Fractals are fun the first few times, and then they get old. The raids aren't really challenging or unique at all, and people are so God damned afraid of the content.

I tried a couple times to get into FFXIV, but the combat is just too braindead and too slow for me to really enjoy. I love everything else about the game though, but I just burn out so fast.

And then there's WoW. I played WoW since it originally launched way back in 2004, and quit when WoD launched. Came back for Legion, had fun for a while, but eventually burned out. The combat just isn't the same when most classes are now about two buttons.

I don't know. What MMO is worth playing for the raiding anymore?

I really enjoyed Archeage for a long time, but unless you get decent gear and a good to dominating guild you won't exactly get into challenging PVE raiding.

PvP's a different thing though.

For the longest time, I've been trying to get back to my good o' MMORPG days but haven't located one really worth investing my "feelings".

I'm tuning in on this thread because I'm also quite curious to see what raiding MMO people even play these days, too. Or is it all about small groups or even solo and pvp now? Hopefully not.

I am playing a bit of Neverwinter.

The classes there are really interesting in terms of powers. I still don't raid but even outside of heavy content you get to use most of your mechanics to avoid getting thrown down and overpowered by enemies.
