How do I counter Riven?

No matter what she just fucking mashes q every time I try to do anything and then her ult does half of my hp. She has ridiculous mobility. A stun. A shield. And ridiculous scaling. And for some reason with having 4 dashes she still has 345 movespeed (more than most champions WITHOUT a dash).

I just want to know how to beat her at all. Doesn't matter if lane, doesn't matter early, doesn't matter what lane. Because every time I fight her she just magically goes from being 0/10 to 1v5ing our entire team.

Renekton and Garen are particularly good counters to Riven, and Pantheon can give her a lot of trouble too. Unfortunately, she will snowball really well with kills elsewhere if you let her roam. Make sure you call mias. Early game, trade with her if she uses her q combo and it is on cd. If she is ahead of you by a large enough margin that you cannot fight her even with her ult down, make sure your jungler knows and tell him to focus on snowballing other lanes. Other than that, in teamfights all you can do is try to lock her down and blow her up. Riven tends to build full damage to take advantage of her good scalings and ends up being squishy when her shield is on cd or is unavailable due to snares or other cc. All of this is of course to the best of my knowledge and my experience playing as and against Riven.

No matter what you do, past 30 minutes all you can do is hope to god she get's killed fast in team fights and you don't see her anywhere in the tri-state area if you're alone.

Best thing I've seen is pretty much play champs that have good escapes, or build tanky, getting life steal helps too. She can indeed be a pain, but the best thing you can do is just out damage her to the point where you just bully her out of lane (Since she's pretty easy to bully out before she gets lifesteal) at which point you'll pull ahead, and will have less trouble against her. Most bulky champs with the ability to outrun her or shut down her damage can really break her into pieces. Like another person said, Garen troubles her greatly, all you have to do is wait for her to come in on you, silence her and run away, and leveling Garen's Q first is just downright amazing.

Remember, the more you bully her, the more she's either going to get pushed out of lane, or have to build armor/MR to keep in lane, pushing her damage even further down into the late game
