I just got four friend requests, all at the same time and by 'users' that have entirely lowercase names with random words in them. I look them up on LoLking and what do you know, they're all level 1's, which I can only assume are spam bots.

These aren't even the first to message me; I've had at least 5 others over the past week or two. Has ANYONE else dealt with this? It's very frustrating to see, and I hope there's some way to get rid of these stupid accounts.

I have to bump this again, due to getting like 5 more stupid friend requests from these bots. Riot, are you looking into this at all?

Riot is constantly banning these, but the only way to really keep up is for them to have automated systems that flag them. Which they do, but it's cat-and-mouse. Riot band the bots, the botters make better ones that are harder to detect, and then Riot has to react.

This week the botters are winning, it seems.

Riot definitely knows about this, but it's awfully hard to filter out bot accounts (particularly the ones that haven't played any games yet) automatically without also catching a few innocent players by accident.
