I just realized Championship Shyvana wasn't in the store thought it was cause I owned it then I noticed championship thresh isn't either and ofc championship riven isn't.
Curious what determines who gets a championship skin and why they are rare skins.
They are rare skins because they commemorate The World's Tournament! They are only available during that time of worlds and (aside from Riven at the moment) only during this time are they purchasable, although they are able to unlock via Mystery Gift. What determines who gets the skin? I guess only someone at Riot can say that. People assume its based on the champion that does well in these Tournaments, but im not too sure especially since in Thresh's case he was a new champion at the time and this was his first skin since launch, and Shyvanna wasnt really good, nor played that much during Worlds! For all we know they probably just throw a dart at the board, or pick a random name out of a hat to see who gets a new skin!
