Why havent I been getting key shards?
I've gotten S+ and S- on many characters that I have not yet gotten shards on, yet I still end with nothing?

I am just mad, i have been on here from season 1 and all these years in they cant make a new map. But they add another pay option to get items WTF. And what is funny is they have taken away more maps and game modes then added LOL.
You don't get fragments from S ranks. Only from wins on summoners rift. Chests are gained from S ranks. That being said, after 6 fragments it becomes nearly impossible to get more. The more you get the less chance you will have of getting another. You get the most in your first few games then the drop rate drops significantly.
Luckily, shard drop rate resets every month so you should be able to get your shards very soon.
Hmm, if you're talking about KEY FRAGMENTS and not skin shards, then this is for you : You have a chance of getting key fragments after you win a matchmade game ( pvp ) on summoners rift, idk about treeline but I know that you can't get the fragments or shards in ARAM or bot games. Playing with friends increases your chance of getting key fragments, and it takes 3 to make a key. Hope this helped
Keys drop from Wins. Chests drop from S-Rank Wins. So you only need to win on Summoners Rift for key drops. You SHOULD be able to get them in Aram, and Twisted Treeline but the drop rate is glitched, and they will be fixing that in the next patch. Also Key drops are not linear. So once you have earned 1 key the next key shards have a lower chance to drop, and this continues for each key earned until you get 4. Then the drop rate for key shards is 0% until it resets. (A lot of people are upset by this)
My advice is... Be patient. Stock up on chests, and just earn keys as they come. That's all we can do without buying a key.
I have won 30+ games since I've gotten a key fragment. I'm wondering why this may be. i have been looking to it and see no reason as to why I'm not able to get any. I have won many games with a group of friends and they seem to be consistentlu unlocking them and i am not getting any. i have three chests and no fragments to unlock anything.
Same to me. No key for at least 4 or 5 days now
People do not realize Rito tricked us. This was a new member grab, you really think they are going to drop a key quickly lol they wouldn't get any money. That is why they added the pay option on (FREE) key drop that (DOES NOT DROP) HMMMMM anyone getting it.
The way you get key fragments is dumb, I have 3 chests that I can't open because getting key fragments is so random.
I have 2 chests but I cant open them cause I cant get even a single key shard !! I ve won something like 10 games
It has been happening to me aswell. I got enough key shards for 1 key then after that nothing even has dropped. I have even played with a full team of my friends and we had 2 of us get s+'s** yet no key fragment.**
I have played over 40+ games in the past 3 days, and won majority of them. You get boxes for S rank, key shards are compeltey random based on wins but after winning 20+ games in 3 days I haven't received any. Playing with premades of 5 people on summoners rift where everyone else has gotten keyshards but me. Apparently we are suppose to get them also in aram and 3v3 but it is glitched and people haven't been getting them on those maps. I think it is finally glitching over to 5v5 now because i have talked around to people in lobby and a lot of people stopped getting them within the past week. Something is wrong, here. I still get boxes but never any key shards.
