Does the ranked season seriously end at 12:01AM Nov 11?

I can't seem to find the link to where I remember reading this (from Riot themselves) but seriously, that is NOT how things work in the real world.

If you're told that something is due on day X, it's NEVER due on day X at 12:01am (i.e. 1 minute in to the day). Things are due at 11:59pm of that day (strictly to avoid any confusion about which day is meant by midnight).

Now, it doesn't really affect me. I got gold 5 on Friday (in 64 total ranked games in my first season of ranked), I'm not playing any more ranked this season. I'm sure there are others out there though who thought they would have Wednesday to reach their goals when it was originally announced that Wednesday would be the last day of season 5. Heck, had I not won my gold 5 promos on my first try, I was planning out my next 8 games through Wednesday inclusive to try to get back in to another series to give it a second try before I was out of time.

If it isn't too late this year, I honestly think you should make the season end at 11:59pm on November 11th (i.e. 23h58min later than planned). If it is impossible (stuff is already in place, or other reasons of fairness or whatever) PLEASE consider doing it this way next year.

I would be willing to bet that you have never told an employee their deadline for a project was Wednesday and expected to receive it by Tuesday night. A Wednesday deadline means you still have Wednesday to make finishing touches. No professor at a university says assignment submission closes Wednesday and expects all papers submitted by Tuesday night, the students have Wednesday to submit the papers.

It really doesn't affect me, but I honestly think this was not a good way of communicating the end of the season. I hope you can either fix it now, or at least do this properly in the future.
