My team always makes the wrong decisions

I can't believe this trolling i have faced for the past couple of days in ranked solo q.

I have been playing support because noone else wants to and i am freaking out. Noone knows how to carry games. People never take my advice and they keep making stupid plays.

People who get fed, even go legendary, end up righting 1v2, 1v3 and duying a whole bunch losing their advantage but also giving bounty golt to enemies.

I tell my team to come push a lane together, they ignore me, they thing that farming a minion wave at 50 minutes in the game is more important that pushing to get a turret.

They keep makinh silly plays and i can't do anything to stop it. Getting caught in the unwarded jungle and generally going after kills instead of objectives.

Yesterday for example our volibear decided to do baron while the enemy te was pushing our base, i was blitzcrank and our dmg wasn't enough to do it quickly. I recalled to defend the base and volibear just sit there soloing baron. He was there for like a full minute, asking people to help him while our base was being raped. We all tried to tell him to stop but he just kept going. I walked all the way to baron to help in a pottential steal, till their 3 enemies came and stole it while killing us both. He was there fighting it for over a minute!

But it's always something, it's always a stubborn motherfcker who wants to act stupid and do things their way that is costing us the game....

Okay from paragraph 2 I can see the issue you have, you are SUGGESTING, if you are making the right calls ping until it happens. You would be surprised at how often people listen just to stop the pinging. And if they don't listen look at what you could have done better and MOVE ON, this is the part people never do, learn from their games and if they do that they take each loss personal, it is a loss in a video game, move on.

It sounds like you are getting annoyed with trolls and shit, who cares? Everyone in any elo is not a troll, as long as you never troll you have a better chance at NOT having a troll than the enemy team (4 potential trolls instead of 5). Keep in mind averages/luck how many games do you win because of AFKs/trolls? I am willing to bet it is +/- 5 of the amount you lose because of trolls/AFKs.

To sum up and hopefully be helpful, learn to work on leadership, at the end of the day it is YOUR soloQ, not the teams, you don't care if they win, so you can't care if they do poorly. For example this account has a 70% win rate on Thresh, all I do in those games is peel for ADC in teamfights (basically letting them do free damage the entire fight), play smart in lane (look to get them fed without risking much in return). This is done mostly by understanding trading, if they focus me I explain to my ADC that that means they can get free damage on their bot lane, and if they go on ADC I walk to the enemy ADC and hit them, making them hit me and not my ADC. I also roam alot to the mid and sometimes top, keep in mind you are not the ADCs support but the teams support, I win alot of games with a dead bot lane as Thresh simply by going and getting mid fed, they in return make teamfights easier letting the ADC come back in gold and XP. But all these things are secondary to one thing when I support, I shot call, I explain what we need to do, my team learns slowly that I am making good calls and begins to trust more, letting me call riskier things to help win. Example we had a Renekton and a big wave pushing for us bot, so I told him in chat "Rene have TP?" he did, so i said "Go bot and push if they come to us TP to baron, once you get to tier 2 tower, if nobody is on map back off" and his reply was "I know how to fucking play" so I simply muted him and continued to direct him through chat/pings. He may not have liked me but we won because people listened.

Now are there games where the team doesn't listen? Sure, just move on though. Games where nobody wants to work together are pointless to get angry over. Those games are never winnable as a support.

The moral of this is then, you can carry a terrible ADC to getting fed, through leadership as well as correct plays, knowing when you can zone the enemy duo. You have to realize your ADC may not actually play ADC, as long as you explain it in a professional way they will listen, if not ok, adjust your playstyle to suit them so you can win.
