When I've played a champ enough times to get to level 4...

Please don't discuss to me how you want me to play.

When I'm supporting you as Bard, and I've already clicked on my W, don't ask me to slow the enemy whenever I can. Don't ask me to leave my heals behind the turret. And don't stay and push when the enemy backs off, that's my cue to get some chimes. You are pretty much dead in a two vs one scenario.

I've played enough games as Bard to note that his Q does need to be for champs, but its also great for stunning minion hordes and pushing.

I've learned that if the shrines are behind the turret, its hard to reach them if you are running away from a champ that pulls, or has long range.

And, if I do not ever vamp up my passive, I'm going to be pretty weak. It has my power, my slows, and area damage. I can't just hit a champ with a Q and hope they are stunned, I need my slow.

And above all, I do not need a Ashe telling me this because when it comes to slows, she has a stupid passive that does it for her.

Sorry for the rant, but the point is, stop telling people how to play a champ unless they are doing HORRIBLE and your whole team can tell (and if they say they are new to the champ). I've been playing Bard since he was first released on the PBE.

If having level 4-5 mastery on a champ makes you disregard all advice on things you could be doing better, then the mastery means nothing, you can play a champ in a completely ineffective way and still get the mastery for it, there is always room to improve.

Mastery doesn't mean anything. I've got mastery 4 on Alistar and I have no idea how or where to play him.

With this logic i should be god of support as i have about almost every viable one level 5. This in no way means i cant be told what to do...

level 5 mastery means nothing, and level 4 even less, I have in no way mastered nautilus and im over 130k with him.

Reminds of a game as quinn with bard supp. He had lvl5 mastery and yet I absolutely hated him. Did I bash him during game for it? Hell no! You're better off trying things for yourself to realise what doesn't work. Did I get him good with my suggestions/tips after game? Of course, calling out his bad roaming calls, poor/early use of E, atrocious ult placements, the fact that during team fights he never used his Q once, his questionable build path (ruby sightstone first????).

As someone who has 120k mastery points on bard, I do my best to help other bards out there but when I see lvl5 mastery and a complete mess in knowing what to do when to do it, it just further shows the real skill cap bard has. I don't blame you, I don't want to fight only help. But lvl4/5 mastery means shit to me when it comes to bard. You know more than others but you have no clue how to be a true bardass. Again 120k mastery points and I'm still improving.

PS. Hitting a minion to champion Q is extremely useful to get down, no hiding behind that minion wave mr adc. Ult placement is 30% of your ult the other 70% is timing. Timing is fucking hard the larger the distance and you need practice all the time. You really shouldn't be deep roaming if your adc isn't on the same page (local chimes are perfectly ok if you can get back in time if shit goes down). Deep roam only when you have no one in lane, I bet I'm in lane more than you with a very comparible amount of chimes at the end of the game, not saying I'm better just saying you can roam smarter and be effective as a support.

Mastery levels on champions literally only tell people you play that champion alot. Not that you're an infallible Man-God who by the grace of the matchmaking system is on their team. The same logic applies to Hero levels in Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm.

I could get Level 5 "mastery" playing nothing but AD Fiddlesticks mid. What does this tell you about the mastery system?

No, I got to level 4 on Elise and I suck balls using her, probably my lowest winrate champion right now. Just because you play something a bunch doesn't mean you know everything about it so I say No to your title. Btw doesn't matter if you're doing great or bad help is help and unless you say don't help me please then deal with it.

By that logic all summoner level 30s should know what wards are. After all, all those games played surely gave them experience and knowledge on how to play?

Oh, wait. They don't.

Man. I got 735k mastery points with Ahri, and I'm still learning.
