Why do trolls in Champ select continue to go unpunished?

Why is it when someone locks in Heimerdinger jungle with summoner 13 {{summoner:2}} after saying "I'm just gonna AFK their comp is better than ours" that someone on our team is forced to bite the bullet and dodge or most likely lose a 4v5? How is there no option to report someone in champ select yet so at least the person dodging knows something may happen to this troll rather than letting him go for free.

because Riot is incompetent. Just like, why did Riot make a mute option but only ban's people for verbal abuse. derp derp.

For real, i could record a match with a troll, send it to Riot via ticket request they could watch and BAM nothing happens to the troll but if i said "dude, you suck stop trolling" at any point....BAM...chat restriction or banned. This aught to tell you something, Riots support team took the short bus to school.

I hate to agree with this guy above me but yeah.... the current system mostly punishes people who have to DEAL with trolls or who get stuck playing with a 4 man premade that fails at whatever goofy all assassin plan they had and blames the sole solo player all game, then reports him 4 times and demands the enemy team do as well.

It seems like the current system mostly just enables jerks to bully people and get away with it. I miss the tribunal.

Did you report them? If not you are part of the problem.

If you did, then good job! That is what needs to be done. People who are reported will get punished. You have to trust in the system. If you don't the Trolls win.

Dodging in champ select is only a 3 LP loss in ranked and 5-15 mins of your life. Only the time, if it was a normal. That seems like a good deal, as opposed to being pissed off over something stupid, like LoL.

step 1) download gyazo or something similar step 2) get a screenshot of the chat step 3) make a ticket and send it to rito.

though im pretty sure a ticket alone would do it since they can access chat logs.

99% of the time that person will either dodge themselves or change their summoner skills as the clock gets to 1.

They're just hoping you'll dodge because they don't want to play. They don't really WANT to lose. Almost nobody wants to lose.

But yes, you can report them using the tickets.
