I just finished my provisionals yesterday and got Silver 1! So close but it was not to be. C:

I'm pretty sure that MMR from last season won't decay if you're in provisionals (not sure if it's supposed to or not). But i hadn't played all season, played 10 provisional games and lost 8 of them and got placed in silver 2 (was plat 5 last season). I was playing with gold 3s-plat 5 people the whole way through.

Either way, fairly easy climb to gold after that :)

Comparing your promo series score is pointless when your previous season ranking effects it. Who you play with and against effects it. The order of wins and loses effects it. Did you duo at all or go solo also effects it. Unless you are duo queuing with someone and you both have never played ranked before you will have different potential placements.

lol. Wow. I'm doing the normal climb to Gold. So provisionals are easier around end of season??

I did my placements two weeks ago, 9-1 landed Gold 1 ... I considered going for Platinum 5 but was too lazy lol. I am so glad I didn't have to grind this year and just play casually w/o pressure.
