"We balance our game!" -- meanwhile, the most braindead, pathetic champions in the game are, by far, the strongest, and instantly kill you just by clicking on you. What was that you said about not wanting champions to have unavoidable damage with no counterplay? Well, gee, let's look at the fact that ADCs right-click on you and erase you from the game, or the fact that someone like LB / Kat can just roll their face on their keyboard, with no thought at all, and win. What about tanks who two-shot carries and can't be killed without a 5v1? Is that "fair"? Thing is, if kids had to actually try in order to win, they'd never throw money at you for skins. So, at this point, I really don't believe you even have a balance team. You have a bunch of suits sitting in a room debating over what kind of bullshit the community will put up with, and what kind of bullshit is the most profitable. You don't actually want balance, since that isn't lucrative for an F2P cash grab.
"We care about our community and product!" -- yet it takes you months to do the simplest of bugfixes, I see very little content outside of the cash shop (which is where you spend 99% of your time), that lore rework you promised years ago is still not here, we have champions who look like they belong on the N64, and you don't listen at all to what people who actually play the game say. Instead, you do whatever Mr. CEO who doesn't even play the game tells you to do, because loving your product and trying to make it as high a quality as possible is, again, not lucrative for an F2P cash grab.
"We think about more than just money!" -- yet every single little thing you do shows just how parsimonious you are; you only do one update a month (saves money), you totally ignore your game, and delay a champion release, so less people get bored of LC$, you create blatantly OP champions (or buff champions into absurdity) to spike skin sales, and so on. You say you're not just some greedy ass F2P company, yet you do nothing to show that you aren't -- and just saying you're not something doesn't make it true.
Just tired of all your bullshit, Riot. Really wish bratty kids who can't be bothered to lift a finger never bought into the whole F2P scam -- maybe then we'd have companies that actually give a damn about their game, and we'd have games that are actually fun to play. 'cause, in a P2P system, quality of content and player retention is how you make money. In an F2P game though, quality is irrelevant, so long as people are throwing money at your cash shop.
Been playing games since I was old enough to understand how a remote works (3-4 yrs), and always dreamt of becoming a developer myself one day. Now, that dream is dead, and my childhood hobby is just quickly losing that shine it once had -- all thanks to the fucking F2P epidemic. Sure do wish someone would find a cure.
