Newbie Riven tip (unclear ability wording)
How to hop over walls as Riven: Q directly towards them when you walk up to them.
Anyone new to Riven, or if you're like me and just didn't care enough to pay attention whenever you played her because she's strong even if you don't know this-- Riven's Q is really weird in how it moves her. The text says that the ability moves her forward. What got me, because I play with Quickcast, was that this does NOT mean towards the cursor. It really means forward-- the way she's facing--no matter where the cursor is.
So the trick is to
- Walk up and touch the wall.
- Make sure she's facing the wall when you go to activate the third Q. If you clicked inside the wall or at an angle, she won't be perpendicular to it and the jump may not work (depends on the size of the wall).
To make this clear, I think they should add, "Not in the direction of the cursor," to the ability text.
