Its Just Normals

This is my single biggest peeve with this game, People blaming thier poor skills on the fact that its a "normal game".

Well my thing is that just because a normal game means lose on purpose to you, doesnt mean that everyone else playing normals is playing to lose. There doesnt have to be 1million dollars on the line or your bronze III promos for you to be enticed to play well, its old and honestly a childish excuse for your bad in game decisions

Well, people bring champions they know how to play in ranked. People try new champions in normal. Its not losing on purpose, its learning...

It's just an excuse to justify bad habbits. They would make those mistakes even in rank. I play with friends who like to do the same thing even though they're obviously try harding in normals since I did duo with both of them last season, and oh look the same mistakes they were making in normals they were making in rank.

Usually when I see this kind of thing it's when someone's playing a champ for the first time or when they make a couple mistakes. Then someone on their team starts being negative or toxic towards said player.

Now I'm not condoning intentional feeding, giving up, or anything of the sort. But why be so serious and harsh? There's a difference between straight-up criticism & advice, and taking it too far with your attitude. I mean, what do you expect? That everyone have perfect mechanics and that they be able to make the right decision every time? Cut them some slack, everyone makes mistakes. You can't learn if you don't screw up sometimes. However it's not your job to hate on them for those mistakes, you should be understanding and honest with your advice and criticism.

Even though I don't think ranked is any more of a place for negativity than normals, it is clear that there is much less on the line, and that normals are (typically) less competitive. Just because people play less competitively than you doesn't mean they're "playing to lose." If it annoys you so much that other players are not as competitive as you then you should either stick solely to ranked or work on that attitude of yours. Because people like you are the people that ruin my casual and fun normal games.

There's a point to it though. When I play with my friends who are worse than me there are often huge mismatches, and they will majority of the time do poorly just because of how normal matchmaking and mmr matchups are decided. I've played normals where I play bad trying new things, and the last thing I need is someone getting upset at me for it lol. I play normals to dive for that double kill or dive for the 1 for 1, because it's fun and always making smart plays isn't necessarily fun.

I love to win games since I'm competitive, but Normals is where you work on improving. If you are actually serious about winning every game, play Ranked.

The thing that pisses me off is when people don't try in normals and than say this. I don't mind if people try new champions or new builds or whatever and it doesn't work out but when they just don't try it's really annoying.

I mean, I like to do weird stuff sometimes like Nami mid, it isn't great but it's not bad. I wouldn't play it in ranked. But if I have a bad game on it, I don't need to be flamed. It's just normals.

Some people may suck at certain roles and champions, and turn to normals to practice.

Normals shouldn't be an excuse for losing on purpose or not trying, but you really shouldn't get mad at someone if they just plain suck. The whole "it's normals" excuse in that specific situation just means they're practicing, and your LP isn't on the line.

I mean, I suck ass at top lane but I need to get practice somehow. If I play normals, I have every right not to be flamed if I'm still trying my best.

But that doesn't excuse assholes, tho.
