Would Riot and the community prefer the game as is or...
would it be better if the game was completely balanced. Is this sort of ebb and flow of buffs and nerfs preferable to a game where every single champion is viable and not one completely outshines the others?
I am not asking if it was possible because I highly doubt complete balance will ever be achievable but which version of balance would be best for the game? I see complete balance as more fun because you can play your favorite champion without worrying if they are too weak to compete but at the same time I think they game would become stale because everyone would just play their mains. The current balance more or less forces players to broaden their champion pools whereas complete balance would promote playing your favorite few champions and never touching anything else.
On top of that, I am the kind of player that loves seeing shifts in the meta. With complete balance I don't think there would be a particular meta. While I hate when a champion is so strong compared to the rest in that given pool that it is all you see, I think I prefer the current balance method because of the way it changes the game.
I bet Riot would love a completely balanced game though. Spend less time testing/calculating balance changes and no more whining about someone being op or up and more time working on skins and such to bring in more money.
, I don't like how champions can stay relevant in shifting metas when their main play style is countered.
could split, and still can, just not as well, but that allowed him to be played in different metas or
how they went ad after tanks started becoming more popular and I have seen tanky fish/ekkos.
