What does the brutalizer, hexdrinker and qss have in common???

So i am making this post as a complaint to riot abou three items that seem almost nessessary in most games but have such a low versatility.

First of all The brutalizer and for those who don't know it but it's name, item 3134 , it's very usefull item for ad champions. Unfortunately it only builds into item 3142 (and for warrior enchantment for junglers) Which isn't that great for champions like irrelia, riven, and generally champions that want to be bruisy. I mean for yi or zed it can be a great item but i think for a riven or irrelia it would be a little better if it could build into a tankier version, like it used to build into item 3071 . So i believe that riot must come up with an item that buiods from the brutalizer into a tankier item than item 3142 .

Next it the hexdrinker , item 3155 , that is also an amazing item for tankier top laners that need to do dmg like river or darius and it only builds into item 3156 . now i know it's still a great item but again it is good for dmg dealing champions more than bruisy champions. I believe the hexdrinker should be more versatile and allow building it into a tankier form.

Last item for this post is qss or item 3140 . this is probably the most op out of the 3 as it rrmoves debuffs and it only builds into mercurial scimitar, item 3139 , which is also an item you would build on an adc or generaly a damage dealer like yi or yasuo. It's not an item that has versatility and that can be build into a tankier version.

I know all 3 of these items are prettybstrong, especially qss, but in my opinion they should have their tankier versions.

I want to know what you think about these three items...

I agree with most of your post, except for Maw, I feel like it's one of the most slot-efficient item in the entire game for AD casters (seriously, 60 to 95 AD, 40 MR and 400 health against magic damage in one slot, the stats are amazing) so what would a tankier version of that be? more MR and less AD? less AD and a stronger passive shield? i feel like you can't give health to an item build path that already 'sort of' does so that's out of the picture

I think bruta's built path and that of qss is very intentional.

Bruta is a HUGE powerspike so it's balanced by having poor itemization. when it also built into black cleaver, it was rare to have an AD top laner not take bruta. now, you're sacrificing an item slot for a poor late game item to give you a massive early game boost. it also made it a bit more niche, as yasumo's is very situation and mainly for AD assassins that need to auto in their combos.

QSS is simular. it's a strong item vs heavy CC, but it's balanced by only building into a heavy AD item. It's used as a tool for ADc's to escape otherwise game-winning CC, and giving that tool to other roles without making them take a penitently of the not-so good build path (BF sword is a steep, steep buy for most anything without a lot of self peel, or wiht the team focused on peeling you) would simply be to strong.

Imagine a fat, scary Darius is coming for the collective booty of your entire team. but, your team is good and anticipated this, so they had some sort of hard ass CC to keep him off the team's ass while you all do what you need to do. Right now the Darius would have two options; build merc treads along wtih his core and present as much kill pressure as possible, or build a scim (assuming this is late game), cleansing the CC, and trying to go balls deep for a high priority target+penta dunk. Option A makes him easier to peel while option B makes him easier to kill. If their was a tanky option for QSS any Darius would just built that, and simply skullfuck everyone. Same goes for lots of champions; namely anyone who can go tanky and still have kill pressure.

Maw is a very, very strong item IMHO, and doesn't belong in this list.

This is just my understanding of it, though. I could be totally wrong, so don't take that as gospel.
