I'm sure I won't be listened to but I want to voice some opinions.
First, I want to get straight to the point in each so sorry if they're short. Also, I'm sure this thread will get down voted.
------Lore-------------
The lore change wasn't needed. Its just something that gives the lore team more work. Yet, they're not even ready for this change. Its not professional to push a change that isn't even finished. Trying to just take out a lore with nothing new for every champion that is based around it was a bad move and also took out a really compelling story.
On the same subject, without the original lore, why is it that all of the "champions" are fighting? It can't be that its all a coincidence that they warped to a arena and decided to duke it out, again and again. Next, what are "we", we who are (or were) "summoners" who controlled these champions in game? You took a story that made everything make sense and fit together and separated each making them seem vague and as if League of Legends and the Champions stories are completely separate now. Why is a child (Annie) fighting against large foes, or better yet, why is it Vayne and Warwick fight as allies with no qualms between them? It just doesn't add up.
------Gameplay and Balance-----------
This part is about balance and champions (in general). As great as balance has become and how you keep new champions and reworks from being too OP, I can't see why some changes were even made. Speaking on Mordekaiser and even Vel'Koz, what was the real goal? Even Graves (who I mained as a ADC before the change) was fine but went through the change anyway. I don't want to hear gameplay thematics or how you feel when playing as said characters. I want to know how you came to the conclusion that if they didn't really fit a niche, then maybe you should look into a champion update (not a full on relaunch) by itself where it has time to be tested where all eyes are on said champion. (Like Ryze.)
-------Player Experience-----------
Is your new player experience going to make it easy to catch up to all the veterans? Leaving said veterans in the paragraph bellow, why is it so hard getting all of the Champions. Not caring if you play 4 or 7 or even just half of whole roster, its better none the less to have all of them. Because its always easier to have the full line up so that when a meta is out, you can easily pop right into the next with that OP champ. Talking with a veteran friend of mine, he said its a "noob trap" to buy Runes, and I agree, you get enough buffs from the masteries and I can say for a fact I was able to main a champ, get kills, and win with just one item per game.
As for Veterans, the game just doesn't seem to love them in places that don't hold $. First off, its hard to get Riot to give us a IP costing icon. Not even last christmas where they rehashed things from last year (minus the free skins but allowing us to purchase new skins...) they still didn't sell the icons for IP. Skins are one thing, but a icon? Ward skin, maybe, but still, the icons have to cost RP most of the time? There are so many veterans with (literally) millions of IP, and here I am struggling to finish getting all of the champions. They ask to just get rid of it knowing its just going to accumulate and icons would be the smart way to go. At least the icons of various jungle monsters or such.
--------Communication--------------
Lastly, memes are great. I love them, and stay up past midnight to just look at them. But the fact it takes either a meme post or a post talking about a skin to get a response out Riot just says how sorry the Boards are and how little Riot cares about opinions. I don't want Riot to feel hurt at some of our posts but when we beg and plead on both Boards for something to change or something not change and we either go unheard or they say "we're doing it anyway" then it just seems... aggravating.
-------Rating-----------
If I were to rate this game when I first joined, it would surely be a 4 star or 5 star game. Full of great characters, happy players, and lots of fun.
This game as of now would just be lucky to get a 3 star rating.
----Insights---------
It grew so big, and people long for it to stay amazing, but this game will slowly lose its players (even dedicated ones) if things continue as they are and it will not grow because no new player could ever dream of getting to the level of a veteran (have all the champions and runes) without using a good amount of $. No, I'm serious about the new players. This game will never be able to grow like it did, and its simple. No one supports them.
You can give them info, you can elo boost them, but you can't give them the full roster of champions. It would take literally two years and a new computer to get every champion (in the least amount of time).
--------Extra Math Insights---------------
To get every champion, it still takes over 800,000 IP, you get about 80 per win, and 50 per loss at around 20-30 minutes. If you were to average having 10 games a day, you'd win at average 4 out of those 10. But lets get crazy and say 20 times a day. You get about 640 IP in wins, and 600 in losses. If you continue this every day for a year, you'll get 452600 and a bonus 54750 for every bonus 150 a day. You'll get at most 507350 IP. So within two years you'll get all of the champions, but you'll have had to play 400-600 minutes a day, or 6.7-10 hours a day. So in a year, you'd have to play 3,650 hours worth in a year. But, there in lies the problem. Why should some new player have to take up this game like their life depends on it when veteran players gradually came into this game and got everything as it grew?
