Is it "appropriate" for adults to be playing and socializing with unsupervised children?

because that happens all day everyday in league.

Deleted my older post/poll titled "is it fair" that people in their 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond are forced to play with children in elementary school?

I figured this would send a stronger message.

Coarse language has no age barrier.

That's why we need to deal with misbehaving (not swearings but the heavy stuff, still, it would be best if people can learn to control the urge of typing *s in chat) on the net, not the age difference in the community.

what is your problem with it exactly? i am an adult, i see children, i interact with them, i am related to some, i have played games with children, and when i was a child i played games with adults.... so?

if children do not socialize with adults, how will they learn to become one?

Who cares what their age is? As long as they play well I don't really care.

You don't have to disclose your age to anyone on League. If you do then its your fault. Its not really that big a deal, honestly. Someone just freaking out over something that isn't an issue.

Dear reader,

Let us ignore this thread. It strikes me as some pretty bad bait and I'll leave an image to reflect that.

Best regards, Mr. Beane.

You appear to be assuming that misbehavior is age-locked. It's not. I know people twice my age who are half as civilized over the internet, and barely a quarter as clever. Even on Facebook, where everyone can see everyone else's real name, you'd still find far too many nigh-stereotypical 20-something and 30-something parasites who can't think of anything better to do than rage online.

"Welcome to the internet, where the men are men, the women are men, and the children are cops."
