Why is there a Vayne in almost every game now?

and why is she always magically 100x better than my adc. Only happens with Vayne. Any other adc on the enemy team they're around the same skill levels. If it's a Vayne she always ends up roflstomping my adc

Vayne is a strong duelist. She also melts tanks. (She also, as a side note, feels really crisp with her autos). This adds up to a potent ADC in this meta. She can lane safely with a vamp scepter, hold all-in potential with her ult despite not building damage, beat up tanky supports with silver bolts and her ms passive after they go in for harass, and crush teamfights where the enemy team has two tanks on the frontline and lots of damage in the back.

I think a lot of vayne players pride themselves on mechanics, so there's a likelier chance you'll be facing a talented vayne than, say, a talented graves.

Because Vayne is cancer, her ability to do true damage stacks way too quickly early on, not even Yi true damage is that bad. The only item that counters her early on is Thornmail or Frozen Heart, but I'd much rather have a Sightstone, the problem with thornmail is that it deals magic damage back, and all the adcs gain magic resist per level, so it literally means nothing to them for you to have it, paired with Blade of the Ruined King, she chunks your HP by a % of your current health with her true damage going through thornmail/any armor you have, and blade making sure building health keeps you from doing anything about her. The best thing you can do that I've noticed is get aggressive as all hell, when she rolls away, which she will to avoid being locked down, back off so her W doesn't proc true damage on you. Another problem is her Q, unlike other gap closers she can spam that, and with her ult, it turns her into a blinking ninja adc. With new black cleaver, it reduces it that much more, and now the new devourer makes her true damage proc twice in the same amount of time it takes to proc once. Shes just cancer, my main bans are Yi/Vayne/Kat

The higher you get in rank the more Vayne players you will meet. Vayne herself is a high-skillcap character so Vayne players are usually good at kiting and familiar with her mechanics, thus they are more likely to beat your adc in lane, also her stupid Silver Bolts make it even easier to duel and bully anyone.

In case you are wondering why Vayne seems to always beat and outperform any of your adcs in lane: Every Vayne player in the world is a toxic tryhard. Why? Because of the reasons mentioned above. Every game no matter what team she's on she is a total bitch. They all usually behave like this in lane: their passive helps them to get in AA range, then they just chase their enemies until they get under tower or she procs bolts. It is always the same fucking process. Every game, every time. Try to duel her - you'll likely lose and die, try to run - you lose trade anyway. Ridiculous right?

Regarding their toxicity: don't get fooled. Even if they are silent in game and don't say a word until the very end, even if they look nice and show good mechanical skill, know that they all are like a time bomb filled with cancer on a short fuse. And they explode when they don't get to show off - they go in 1v5 and after they get bursted in teamfight too quickly/get CC'd and deleted (btw the best way to shut down a Vayne is burst her down ASAP), proceeding to write a poem with a good amount of "kind" words in chat which she has kept inside her the entire match that clarify Vayne's attitude towards you and your teammates in the most convenient and explaining form possible.

They nerfed the strong early game adcs like Graves and Lucian and almost every single support is a bodyguard support like Janna Nautilus Alistar or a sustain support like Soraka. This means that Vaynes constantly get free laning phases since killing or denying the enemy bot lane is too fucking difficult, and Vaynes that get to free farm tend to win games. Not to mention that her core item item 3153 got a massive buff a while ago when they made lifesteal apply to its passive. Don't forget they've also nerfed all of the assassins so even fewer people who can kill Vayne.

Vayne is probably the best duelist in the game. Unless your ADC is Graves or a fed Draven, he/she will lose in a prolonged fight with Vayne.

That aside, Vayne does have a very weak early game. Almost every ADC has an easier time than her before level 6. It is up to the opposing support and ADC to capitalize on that to deny her farm or acquire a kill advantage.

Another factor to the apparent high skill level of Vayne players is that Vayne is difficult to play. Like other champions such as Yasuo and Riven, many players who plays these champions have hundreds of games under their belts. Unlike playing as someone such as Garen, it is simply impossible to reliably win as Yasuo or Riven without having the champion mechanics required to bring out their full potential.

So if someone is confident enough to bring out Vayne, they are doing so knowing that they will be at an initial disadvantage, which implies that they are confident in their practice with that champion.

Her early game isn't as weak as it use to be, so she really doesn't have that hard of a time transitioning from early to mid. TBH she is pretty damn strong mid game, not unbearably strong, but pretty strong.

She becomes unbearable late game though, she is suppose to be a hypercarry.

I imagine there are quite a bit "old" vayne mains that didn't used her for quite some time while bot was infested by op adc or burst ones like Corki/Graves. Tank meta with tons of cc also wasn't exactly fun for 550 range adc.

Now when meta is more favourable Vayne can get fed and carry once again.

It's Tristana for me, I played like 6 games of League today and I think Trist was only absent in one of them. Vayne is pretty common too though.

She's the best adc to fight taks and in the tank meta, she's a valuable asset. Plus, it prevents your opponents from getting her.

Tanks are stronger now(and vayne is great vs tanks),assassins weaker now(vayne not so great vs them),poke supports mostly out of meta(vayne again, not great against those),meta shifted very hard in her favor.

If it makes you feel better, if I go Vayne (or any ADC for that matter) I usually do pretty badly :P I wish I could play Vayne better. I'm not all that bad with dealing with mechanical intensity (after all, I picked up Ori quite well) I could probably learn how to play her better too, but as with when I picked up Ori, it would take a lot of practice (at least I got to see LCS games with Ori in it, and that helped a lot with the Q-W-E combo), and I started working on playing Vayne, but, with mixed feelings, the Elder Scrolls Online has been my obsession since I got it a week or two ago, and it works a bit better with my environment, where I help my parents in renovating parts of our house (I don't AFK because that'd be breaking the commitment in a League game, but I don't like saying no to my parents). I guess it's something I'll have more time to pick up in a few weeks. I've been wanting to pick up an ADC for some time now, because I can play other roles with at least average performance, and I've wanted Vayne to be my pick when I go ADC in a draft game (I usually play teambuilder so I don't get much practice). I understand the theory and the mechanics behind playing Vayne too, it's just executing them...I guess just a lot of practice, because she's a hard one, and it took me probably a good 30+ games to pick up Ori, so I just have to practice. Maybe I'll get to the point where I'm the stereotypical enemy Vayne. That being said, I hope I don't develop the stereotypical saltiness of Vayne players. I notice when I play Vayne (and Udyr) I get a bit more mad at my teammates (thankfully I don't say anything to them). Maybe soon I'll be able to roflstomp those enemy ADCs.
