Is Vayne Really That Hard to Play?

I always see Vayne's bragging about how much skill it takes to play her but all I see is a Vayne pressing E when someone's by a wall. Hell, it's a ranged ability and she has her tumble to set it up. If you wanted to brag about amazing mechanics like that then play Poppy, at least she's melee and has no ability to set it up. Aside from that I see Vayne's three shotting just about any other champion and bragging about outplaying them. I've played Vayne before, it's harder to play a champion WITHOUT these fancy mechanics because they don't have the option to suddenly push someone into a wall and stun them while hitting them without them even fighting back.

Vayne's difficulty comes from teamfighting. She has no way to do real damage outside of auto attacks, which means that if she can't survive within her 550 range of an encounter, she will be near-useless. She does take skill, but that's mostly because she relies almost 100% on mechanical skill and positioning in teamfights, almost moreso than any other champion in League. That said, her dueling is impeccable, so just ignore people that say "outplayed" when they 1v1'd as Vayne.

Like some of the other guys said, she does massive amounts of damage with her silver bolts, but it comes at the cost of having 0 skills outside of her aa range, meaning if she wants to fight she has to get into auto range. She usually has to use her tumble to put herself into the fight and that is risky as tumble is her only disengage as well, meaning if she goes in and gets into trouble, she will most likely get killed.

While I disagree that Vayne doesn't take a lot of skill, I will say that I agree with that. It's why I like Gnar so much. Kite, transform, ult, w, done.

Its the early game that makes her hard to play, due to her lower attack range you have to play smart to get your farm going and keep from being poked to death. Late game she turns into a death dealing machine with great kiting potential, awesome loads of damage from her E, and the E comes in handy for when you need to disengage. I'm not going to say she takes any more skill than most other ADCs in in a general sense. If you decide to seriously play Vayne just do me a favor and don't run around screaming outplayed or yelling at your support because your not having a good game...Gets really annoying after a while.

Edit: the guy above me makes me look like a dumbass....>.

every vayne i see goes 0-4 before laning phase ends. probably most people don't know how to trade with her and just get destroyed in lane trying to farm under tower
