Lets see who has balls in this game!!!!

So it's no secret that this game is devided in 3 categories of players.

  1. The elo trapped bronze players who keep crying for help, but everyone hates them and everyone thinks they know bronze better than them.
  2. The silver-platinum ( some diamonds included) who live with the illusion that they have hardly gained their well diserved spot in the ranking system, who are the ones who snobb bronze players, and who think that they know everything. The typical smart asses of the LOL world . 3 we have 'riot's babies' the challenger ( some diamond) boys who are the favoured riot blessed kind. The ones who although fairly and rightfully have gained their spot ( 150 years ago), they are being pushed by mommy riot to stay forever in the beautiful spots of high elos.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not insulting anyone here. I feel proud of people who are in high diamond, Challenger tier, they would destroy me in a match and i think they are way ahead of every other player, however here is where things get complicated...

One does not always remain static. People get better in time, while aome get worse, each season starts with a soft elo reset, that finds people back to where they used to be, and when i say back i mean mmr wise their lp gains and losses are the same pretty much. Now wether its +8,-22 or +22,-8 people remain in the same lp amounts. That means a bronze player will never see the light of silver or gold and a platinum player will easily climb back to where they used to be at the end of the season.

Here is what you are here for. You are here to vote whether riot should give a HARD elo reset. Whether all players from challenger to bronze 5 will have all ranked history whipped out and start over as if they had just turned lvl 30. Now according to the second category of players that i mentioned before ( the smart asses who know everything) one will find themselves where they trully belong. So that means you would be willing to prove it right???

I know it takes some balls to go from challenger to no elo history and prove the gaming world that you rightfully gained your place. And when it comes to challenger, diamonds, i believe that they will be just fine, it's the second category that will be in trouble since they might find some current bronzies above them while they get stuck in elo hell.

So what say you HARD elo reset or we keep pretending that the ranking system is so great and everyone is where they belong...

I mean the issue has nothing to do with diamond/challenger players. Of course they will be able to climb much faster than lower elo players. The problem will be the abundance of high elo players that will be pitted against bronze/silver players and that's just plain unfair.

Just gonna say, I've been placed in Bronze in both of the previous season that I played ranked (3 and 4), and managed to reach gold both times. This season I got placed in Silver III, and am rocketing up the ladder. Are you trying to tell me that this has all been luck? Bronze is bronze, and I've escaped it twice. Being "elo trapped" is just an excuse. (For the record though, my only real problem with a hard reset is all the different skill levels getting pitted against each other. It's bad enough in silver with just the soft reset (lotsa ex-plats, golds, but also bronze players too). I just feel that for the beginning of the season, this would create a lot of very one-sided games decided purely by luck of the draw.)

BRO HEAR ME ! YOU ARE NOT LISTENING , my problem ISNT bronze. I HAVE NEVER blamed trolls, feeders. afks for me being stuck in bronze. I ADMIT that season 4 i was doing BAD in ranked. MY MAIN COMPLAINT is gaining ONLY 8-9 lp in a win and losing the STUPID AMOUNT OF 19-24. I NEED an aproximately 70% winrate to climb out of bronze. Now it doesn't matter in what elo you are in 70% is TOO MUCH FOR ANY ELO. That is what people call elo hell, that is what i am complaining for and that is why i can't climb up. What was your lp gains/losses when you climbed out of bronze??? If you were making 20 lp for a win and -15 for a loss, BIG DEAL.... with these odds and my 57-60% winrate i would have been out aswell.

And that is where I would agree with you. I don't understand why their system is so jaded in that regard. One game should be roughly equal to another, it shouldn't take 2, or even 3 games to equal out another (I mean that both ways wins>losses, and losses>wins). For the record, season three I had pretty much equal LP gains positive and negative. Season four, I started with even, but started getting more LP per win than loss once I started winning more. Starting this season I'm getting about twice as much LP per win than per loss.

No offense but this season I have seen a lot of gld players in bronze (I was silver and got place on bronze as well) some of those gold are still in bronze. A hard reset won't favor much as not everyone can be placed on bronze

I am just tired of people saying all the fckin time that 'you are where you belong' and that it is fair that i make 8-9 lp when i win and i lose 19-24 when i lose one fckin match! even with a screwed mmr i play against people of the same mmr so my lp gains vrs loses should be the exact same, like everyone should. I am tired of people saying that they disserve to be where they are , but they don't want to prove it. I am tired of people saying that bronze is consisted of only bad players. I have seed the BEST kalista EVER in a bronze game. I have seen people with a match history of ranked games being ONLY wins, and that person is in B4! because they buchered their mmr in previous seasons. How can it be fair regardless of MMR that some people gain 20+ lp and lose under 15 while othere gain constantly under 10 and lose over 20? I DON'T care what their MMR is, those gains and losses are unfair and cruel to play with. I am tired of Riot only giving 'love' and attention to high elos while slaughtering and ignoring people's requests at low elos. I am tired of SMART ASSES WHO JUST CAUSE THEY ARE GOLD OR PLAT, the think that they are supperior to others. I am tired of THIS UNFAIR RANKING SYSTEM. I am tired of a system that gives so little room for advancement.

I think riot's ranking system is like the world economy, rich people get richer, poor stay poor, and middle class thinks that they are rich while being broke at the end of each month , draining their paychecks. This is riot's ranking system.

Think about it like this:

Let's say (because I don't know the actual numbers) that Bronze 5 is the "appropriate" ranking for players with an MMR of about 800. If your MMR is 500, you're actually below what's presumed of Bronze 5. As such, despite the fact that you have nowhere to fall to, you're still going to lose more LP on a loss, and gain less LP on a win, as the system tries to keep you settled.

Want to fix that? Win more often. Consistent wins will positively adjust your MMR relatively quickly, causing your LP gains/losses to adjust in turn.

I'm unranked, specifically because I know I'm not particularly good - at least on SR. I also have recently been having some issues with going on tilt, and adding additional stress isn't likely to help that. If I were ranked, I'd most likely wind up in mid-Bronze (or low-Silver if I'm being generous).

And what I'm saying here is that over time the system will equalize you to at or near where you belong. The more games you play, the more accurate that becomes.

well here is the deal i currently win 57 % of my games if i include the provisionals of this season. Without provisionals just in b5 and b4 i have a little over 60 % win rate. i know it's not great, but it should be enough to make my mmr go to 800 or so. Also i think that its unfair that previous seasons are effecting it so much. It's pretty much telling people that once you have made a mistake it's over for you, you are done....

I tried to get op.gg to tell me your MMR, but it gave me an error. A little digging indicates that the error is because you haven't played a significant amount of Ranked in the last couple days. So I can't really talk much about where you're currently sitting or what that means.

But the fact that you have a winrate better than 50% means you are improving your MMR. From there, it's just a matter of time.

I will say, though, that at only a ~60% winrate, you aren't likely to see drastic changes - it indicates that you likely aren't playing at a skill level too far above the people around you.

EDIT: I checked again, and it's showing your last two Ranked games (both ~16hrs ago, as Graves) as having an average MMR of 558 and 562 respectively. It lists your MMR as somewhere near 577. For context, the average rating for Bronze 4 is 789.

So, yeah. You're way below where your ranking would indicate. But judging just from what I saw there, you are improving. Keep it up!

but its not telling you that. I was placed in bronze after my first 2 placements. First season i played was season 3 and I was seeded Bronze 2. I thought I should have been higher, but I proceeded to fall hard to Bronze 5 0 LP. By the end of the season I reached Silver 4 and made it as high as Silver 2 in the preseason.

Season 4 I seeded Bronze 1 which I was a little bothered by, but I made it out once and about 2 weeks later I made it in silver no problem. Never fell a division, but failed 1 promotional. By the end of the season I proceeded to gold and ended gold 4. In preseason I made it all the way to Plat 5 in my promos when my winning streak stopped.

This season I seeded Gold 3 and have played only 26 games so I haven't done much yet. When i finally get around to doing ranked I don't see me not hitting at least Plat by the end of the season.

Its got very little to do with your teammates or anything. Its not impossible to climb out of bronze and early mistakes won't hurt you much if you are actually improving and getting better. To blame it on the system doesn't really hold much to personal responsibility.
