Can't even play one game anymore
I've been playing since season 1. This game has dramatically changed. Can't play ONE game on my weekend without someone screaming at someone else. It's a god damn video game. People act like it's the deciding factor in what type of person they are. It's pathetic. If I wanted people acting this immature I would have gone to my nieces birthday party today.
I know why this happened. this used to be a game people played for fun. Over the years, Riot has put more and more money into Esports and guess what? Now all these little immature children AND adults log in and think they are pro and do you know what happens? Because they think it actually has implications on real life, they get pissy and upset when something doesn't go their way.
Let me help you. Are you playing this game competitively with intentions of going pro? Are you playing this game thinking if you lose it will have implications on your life? If you answer no to those questions, then STOP ACTING LIKE IT. I'm not kidding here, it seems like the majority of the playerbase doesn't even have fun playing. They legitimately log in because they think they are pro.
I'm not saying "I quit". But I can't play more than one or two games without feeling like I'm forcing myself to do this. The sad part? It's the internet. People can act however they want with 0 consequences. "oh but, but, they get punished!".... lol..... ha.... haha... There is seemingly 0 checks and balances to make sure these people aren't playing. Why? If Riot actually banned all the players acting like this, they would lose half their playerbase. That means less money, and less interest in Esports.
It's truly incredible seeing the evolution of a GREAT game turn into this abomination. If I was part of the Riot team and played this game, I would be ashamed of myself.
It's too bad its so anonymous. I think most of the people on here need to get their ass kicked to set them straight. The internet has ruined things. It used to be if you acted like a shit to people, eventually you get the shit beat out of you and then you think about doing it again and stop yourself. If there are no consequences, these immature children (A lot of them are adults which is even more sad) will never stop.
Played two games just now. In both the entirety of the game was everyone yelling at each other. I don't know about you all, but I can't even play. I end up just going through the motions, don't even care about what happens, just want the game over. Just end up dying 100x because the motivation is just not there. I mean honestly, who wants to try their hardest to win when the people you are playing with deserve to get smashed over the head with a baseball bat? I'll tell you, its not very motivating. Makes me care less about winning.
Too bad. I really like this game too. Could have been the greatest game ever made. But money and popularity trump quality sadly. All the keyboard warriors are coming in hot, I can tell. Go ahead and tell me to mute, or stop playing the game. Still doesn't fix the problem. I'll keep attempting to play until I get to the point where I just cannot play one game a week anymore. Keep taking longer and longer breaks, it will happen. I'm a dedicated fan but you can only keep fans for so long before they just can't do it anymore.
