Why am I always matched with morons?

I just don't understand it. I've lost NINE promo series (not matches, SERIES) because of the people I get matched with. : /

Say I'm mid lane, and I'm doing decent. Not great, but I'm holding my own and not feeding. So, by mid game, I'm ~6/2 or something around there. Every 30 seconds or so, I hear "An ally has been slain!" or "Enemy double/triple kill!" or "An enemy is dominating/godlike/legendary!" -- I just don't understand what I can do to change the outcome of those games. People like to tell me that it's my own fault that I lose my promos (nine series in a row, at that) and matches in general... but I just don't understand how. I roam when my opponent is gone, and I roam when my lane is pushed. If I'm a jungler, I gank when I can and when it's safe to do so. If I'm a supp, I do everything I can to keep my ADC alive (though they usually somehow kill themselves anyway). What more can I do to win? It's like my team is all bronze/silver and the enemy team is all plat/diamond. (I'm silver 2, though I feel like that's way too high for me, judging by my performance.)

Now, on top of that, most of the teams I go against are full of the most braindead, simplistic, borderline broken champs that have all targeted abilities / auto attacks, but for some reason just instantly delete people. How can I play against someone I can't outplay? Katarina (you can stun her ult, sure), Diana, Xin, Annie, ADCs in general, Yasuo and so on. I can poke them down from a distance, but if I'm a melee champ, I'm just kind of screwed. : /

Anyway, does anyone know why my games are always so, seemingly, unfairly matched? Why have I lost 9 promo series in a row due to teammates absolutely feeding? I just don't understand why I have such bad luck in this game.

I have the same problem. I can almost always count on my teammates being terrible. Its frustrating, but you just have to carry as hard as you can.

And you will still lose doing that. You have to fine at least on person you can count one in this game to duo with. We have to stop listening to these higher elo players. They are feeding us lies!

Well, I just out of a ranked queue (not a series, of course) and absolutely carried as a Nidalee jungle -- I haven't played her in a while (3ish weeks) because people dodged her spears so easily and I wanted to try something new, but I got stuck as a jungle and Yi/Tahm were banned or taken. So I went Nidalee, and I absolutely destroyed everyone. I went 16/5, and all my deaths minus one were me being stupid and overly aggressive and taking on half their team at once. The rest of my team was decent, minus a person or two, and the enemy team wasn't bad, but I feel like I did carry the game a lot.

Well, I wouldn't say high ELO players are lying, because they probably are able to carry more games. The thing is though, I'm not a high elo player, and I don't think I deserve Diamond or anything. I do consider myself to be a gold level player. But will a Gold level player really be able to carry Silver games when their team is terrible? I don't think so. Sure a diamond player could, but if you're only playing at a level of about 3 divisions higher than you are, its pretty difficult to carry.

the thing is this most Diamond League Players now could not thought Bronze 5 as it stands right now. I don't care what they say or do. They would fail just like the rest of us.

You only upgrade your trinket in like 5% of games :(

Thing is, vision isn't what gets me. Even if an enemy jumps out of the bushes at me, I can usually get away without more than a scratch. The other lanes are warded really well, and people usually drop a few around my lane, so there's really no need to upgrade my ward. Once I have a few core items, I'll upgrade my ward, but I don't often get that chance.

What gets me is when people become so fed they can just instantly kill me. Before then, I only die if I mess up or do something stupid and reckless.

Hold up just a second.

Vision might not be the thing that gets you killed, but it is one of the most important things in the game. Every player on a team should be participating in warding, and you really shouldn't need to have another teammate come and place wards for you. And its not just about your safety, it about map knowledge and awareness. If a ward you place spots the enemy jungler then other lanes can play around that knowledge and gain an advantage. And even if it isn't showing where enemies are it also shows where enemies aren't. That in itself can be a huge heads up that another lane might need to play more carefully.

In a previous match I upgraded my trinket and placed a pinkward in a random bush. And although it sat there for a while, it ended up saving our adc from a rengar ult. That led to us winning a 4v5 at dragon, taking a tower and inhib, then falling back and taking baron.

Always be careful about underestimating the value of knowing where the enemy is at all times.

Wards may not be getting you killed, but with them you can be the one picking up the kills or objectives. Dropping a pink ward near your enemies red/blue can go a very long way, letting your whole team know what side of the map he is or isn't on. Allowing you to play safe or aggressive. If someone becomes so fed that they 100-0 you....drop some wards and stay the hell away from them until you farm enough gold to match their power. I know that some games are just unwinnable but vision is the most underrated thing in this game and 9/10 the team losing is the team without any vision.

It's not your fault, it's the teams fault. This is a team game, not an individual game. SO, those telling you it is your fault want to see you fail. They don't want you get better. That's how they get off! FInd someone to duo with, that's good or at your level. For now, if you want to continue playing that's all you can do.

Haha, I'd like to find people to play with, but I don't have any friends, and making them is hard, for me anyway. :P

I have had people invite me to duo queues before. I always fill in champ select, as I can do every role, and every now and then I do supp. I usually play Tahm as a supp, because I like being able to save people from death, and I'm fairly good with him (I think so anyway!). So, sometimes I'll really carry the bot lane and make all kinds of plays for my ADC to get fed, then the two of us carry the game and push all the lanes and win -- that's not every game, but some. Then they'll invite me to another game, and we'll end up feeding. Then, they promptly remove me from friends and I never hear from them again. So, my skill level is a bit bipolar, I think. Every now and then I do amazing and carry, and sometimes I do so-so and don't feed or do much, and sometimes I just do horrible and die a lot or just get out-farmed and end up being useless. :P

Whenever I do have a good game, people usually talk about how it was all me (though I don't believe them) and then they'll invite me to a duo queue with them and we'll end up feeding, then they promptly remove me from friends. xD It seems like my skill level is a bit bipolar, as a lot of games I do kind of poorly, but in my game with a Nid jungle just now (I haven't played her in a while), I absolutely carried my team. I just don't know what to make of it all. :P

Keep practing and playing ranked from time to time. Make friends that way. And duo with them

Niyumi1 votes

I play ranked until I start losing a lot, then take a break and go play norms and learn a new champion or practice one I'm not good at, or something. Once I cool down and collect myself again, I go back into ranked.

Thing is though, I'm not the most friendly person (I mean, I am friendly, but I'm not an outgoing person). I don't even have friends in reality (never did), and I don't really know how to go about making friends. :P A lot of people might add me to their friend's list just to never talk to me again, so I don't know what to do about that -- I usually remove them. I do have a few friends who are ranked, but they're all quite a bit lower than I am (I'm silver 2, the rest are bronze to silver 5).
