I'm about ready to just start crying.

I just don't know what to do anymore. The more I play this game, the worse of an experience it becomes, though I don't have anything else to do and no other games to turn to... so I'm just stuck; don't have any friends or anything, so video games are really the only thing I have, but video games these days just weren't made for people like me. These days, video games are made for snotty, entitled little kids who whine and moan and cry any time they have to think or put in effort, so all video games are made to be brainless and pathetic -- all in the name of money! This means that very few video games are even fun anymore, and the ones that are fun are soon killed off by the swarm of brats (and this doesn't just apply to kids).

So here we have League, one of the last few games I can turn to, and I'm starting to just not want to play. There are just so many things wrong with this game that just absolutely suck the fun out of it for me...

  • 9.9/10 times, my team is absolutely r%%%%%ed, and the enemy team is made up of seemingly smurfs or LCS incarnated into silver. I really don't understand how the matching system in this game works, but it's always a blow out on one side -- never really a fair game.

  • The community is horrid, and most games I can't even look at chat without seeing someone fighting with someone else and someone calling everyone bad and someone raging about something. I've yet to come across a nice, friendly person who has an IQ higher than the double digits.

  • ...

The thing that bothers me the most though is Riot's laughable joke of a "balanced" game. You have hard champions that take a lot of effort / skill / knowledge to pull off, and then you have champions that don't have to aim or even think, yet just annihilate everything they come across. My first game with LB, I went 19/0, and I just honestly felt like I was cheating; I had no idea what I was doing, what I was building, none of that. I just mashed buttons and won. My first game with Yi, I went 14/5, and again, had no idea what I was doing / building. My first game with Rek'sai, I went something like 26/3, and had no idea what I was doing. My first game with Azir? I went 0/8, and I gradually improved as I learned how to play him. My first game with Gnar? I did horribly, but you know what? I learned and improved every time I played him.

I just don't understand why the champs that take no time to learn, no effort, no skill, no nothing need to be the strongest in the game. Any mage with targeted abilities will just blow Azir out of the water, and out-DPS him by a mile. Any top laner who takes minimal effort (Riven, Irelia, Renekton, etc.) will just annihilate Gnar, since he relies on easily readable mechanics... See the pattern here? The hard to master champs just perform piss-poor, while the braindead freelo things just annihilate everything on your first game with them... how is that fair or balanced in any way?

Now, champs like LB and Yi just put me to sleep -- they're no fun, but they are near guaranteed wins if you play them. So, when playing League, I have to choose between having fun and winning... what kind of choice is that? Why do I even have to think about that, in a VIDEO GAME?

I don't know. I'm just ready to give up. League is quickly losing its charm, and I just don't have fun losing because I was clicked on. Maybe some other game will come out that I'll enjoy, though I doubt it. I'll just be stuck with another game I can't stand for years on end, just like WoW, GW2 and Wildstar before it.

I'm just about ready to cry though; the hobby I once loved is just slowly dying in front of me, and there's nothing I can do to save it. Pretty soon, I won't be able to find any games that I have fun on, and I'll just be forced to do nothing day in and day out. Nearly 22 and never had even one friend, so I don't think that's about to change any time soon. Guess I should just get used to sitting around staring at the ceiling all day.

Bro.

You need to go put your shoes on, go out your front door and take a walk in the fresh air.... Go to the local coffee shop and read a magazine or people watch...

League is great. Ignore the people who complain/rage. Enjoy it for what it is...

There are thousands of games out there.. Try retro gaming with some old school NES games. Have you ever tried Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past? Classic. You'd probably have a blast retro gaming...

There's Playstation God of War: Ascension if you like to battle... Any FPS game (i'm over those, been playing since the original Wolfenstein! (Before DOOM))..

Make some friends, go for a hike, take a bike ride. Hope you feel better!

Enjoy life. Sometimes you gotta make a change just to try something new and then you might enjoy League when you come back to it.

Best of luck

I think you don't know the difference between fun and ranked. You play ranked to win and if you don't have that mindset you should stay away from it. If you want to play for fun go into normals with friends and try crazy ass comps

League is a ton of fun. Sick of the Rift? Play hide and go seek. Wanna do some crazy random stuff? Try ARAMs. Something that's a TON of fun for me and my friends is playing Ultimate bravery with bots.

It tells who you to play, spells to pick, what to buy, how to set your mastery points, and what to max in what order. Spoliers - it's a big bag of messed up. Played a game where it selected Annie for me, had to max her shield first. Bought mostly adc/jungle items. It makes for some hilarious good times and a bit of a challenge even with bots.

If a game, any game, is no longer fun for you, it's no longer a game. Unless you're in the pro league, League is a GAME. If you're miserable with it, play something else!

And the terrible community you were just complaining about has shown you a great deal of support and lots of great ideas on how to clear your head and feel better in this thread. <3

Your saying no fun in LOL? What's your purpose in life, What's your goals. Your almost 22 you're life should be busy as fuck instead of playing games that aren't fun to you. If your not educating yourself you should find a job to keep you occupied for the time being.
