I ask what you want banned so I can ban problem champs for my team and so I don't ban out your pick. If you don't type anything your champ being banned is on you. You clearly know how to type. It is obvious because you keep whining. Next time, speak up and we can avoid the whining in the first place.

Just ignore them, as in that case for example, the player had legitimately nothing to put against you. If that was truly the case, anyway. I always ban the same champs in each meta rotation so I always have a chance to carry my team without those heavy snowballers to ruin our comebacks.

Also have to note that Katarina is kind of a common ban so that player didn't catch up with the times and mained another role/champ XD....

Ahri Carries All1 votesI've got a few reasons I could think of as to why banning Cho'Gath is a good idea, but the strongest of them by far is his late game. If you've ever seen a super tanky Cho'Gath with Warmog's, Thornmail, and Spirit Visage as well as 6 Feast Stacks, he is truly a monster to try and take down. Out of all the games where Cho'Gath has gotten to that level of terror, only once was the team able to coordinate and take the beast down.
What really makes this pick so terrifying is that, now, he can get fed without Champion kills, since he can use his Ultimate on minions and get not only the Feast stack but a reduced cost and cooldown on his Ultimate.
I hope you can understand my logic and reasoning, but in the event that it doesn't make sense to you, hit me up and we can continue this conversation either here on the forums or on a chat service like Curse Voice. I would love to discuss this with you on an intellectual level.

It IS doable against squishy immobile botlanes that you need a single rotation to kill, but then again, against that kind of botlanes Leona is kinda better.
The Chain Warder1 votesTo be honest, his mana sustain passive is so small that I didn't even realize it existed before (I thought it only restored health) until I read this and checked his abilities out of disbelief XD. Learnin' every day. I suppose the mana passive makes some difference, but I always find that mana is a struggle no matter where I'm at. I guess the reason he's primarily played top is that you're usually up against someone who can't wave clear as quickly as a typical midlaner, so it's not as big a deal when you're OOM - you can pretty much stay as long as you like if you're not overextended. And even if you are overextended, you can probably survive a gank because you're just that tanky, and even after that you can *still *stay if you want because your health regen passive on E is just that good.
Orangesilk1 votesMy tip for mana sustain with Cho is: Get a second Dorans ring. (Unlike most items, Dorans ring mana passive stacks with itself and with Cho's, you're looking at 12 mana per minion killed).
With just this little change, you can now outpush a Heimer if you wanna go mid, and you can spam the W you're maxing on CD against your enemy laner, so long as you can last hit every creep in a wave.

Every time I don't say anything and intend to play Udyr, he gets banned.
Also, from experience, the best way to ask for champs to not be banned is:
"[insert role] pref, do NOT ban ________"
Note the "NOT" in capitals with everything else in lowercase. This is required. Some people don't speak English well, so a contraction like "don't" might not make sense to them. Some people simply don't pay attention and will say "oops I thought you said ban udyr lol"
if you have 2 champs you might pick based on the situation, the best way to call them is:
"[insert role] pref, do NOT ban ________, do NOT ban ________"
On the other hand, doing it THIS way is a sure way to get someone to ban one of your champs:
"[insert role] pref, do NOT ban ________ [and/or] ________"
Because they will say things like "I wanted you to use Udyr, not Fizz" or "You said to not ban one of them", and will basically pick your champion for you. Writing out "do NOT ban" twice, and using a comma (instead of "and" or "or") makes it VERY clear that if they ban one of them they are trolling you, and that you are asking for BOTH to not be banned, not just one of them.
And the fact that I was able to type out all this "advice" is just proof of how much solo queue and this community sucks, because I have literally experimented with how to fucking call my role and champs and know what works and what doesn't, and kept notes of various different copy/pastes and their effectiveness.

"[insert role] pref, do NOT ban champ1/champ2/champ3..."?
I mean, they can still troll you, but if you have a pool of 5 champions it seems excessive to say "do NOT ban Fizz, do NOT ban Maokai, do NOT ban Darius, do NOT ban Mundo, do NOT ban Kennen," or something like that.

Viktor has started to see fringe play in most of the pro leagues, to the point he was banned out all 3 games today by WE (IEM Katowice), and sometimes people use that, combined with champions they have a hard time against, as references for champions they might ban.
For example, if you asked me to do the bans for a random match with 9 other unknown players of an unknown skill level right now, with no input from the other 4 players on my team if I ask, I would ban Bard (on the personal belief that any champion shouldn't be played in the first week of release), Heimerdinger (because I have issues against him), and Nidalee (as a strong jungler), the last being based on pro play.

I know that people generally like to act as sheep and pick/ban what pros do, but I've not seen Viktor banned in any games...well every to be honest, and have seen one other (besides myself) in the past few weeks.
Is he more popular? Yes. Is he banned all the time because of it? No.

Often we have 4 out of 5 people calling their roles and everyone is fine but the the 4th pick who didn't talk at all just picks something at random. We once got a garen top when mid and top were already picked (not just called but picked). And while I would generally say pick>call order it's not the case if someone doesn't call it until it's his turn to pick. I fucking loathe people who go afk in champ select.
One funny thing I remember though is one of my first ranked matches. I am a Mordekaiser one trick pony since release so I really wanted to play Morde. I wasn't worried about it as he never was popular. First pick asks for banns. Team gives him like 5 possible banns. Then he just proceeds to bann Morde first for absolutely no reason at all. Whats even better is that after 10 minutes or so of waiting (I dodged) I obviously wanted to pick Morde but I was 3. pick and the enemy team first picked him. That was so frustrating but also so funny.

had a funny case yesterday, second pick asked 'please don't ban rengar', so i banned rengar and picked ahri, he said he was going mid together with me then and picked syndra, somebody dodged, i requeued and got into another team, asked them to ban rengar which they did, picked janna since i landed as the last pick, that guy was the first pick on the other team, still didn't get his rengar and they had a troll duomid who even fed a bit intentionally, so they got utterly stomped. he got what he deserved for calling the role, i went 1/1/20 and got 3 honors

(Especially in Bronze) Well... I have encountered a problem with your logic at times: When you post "don't ban xxx" sometimes the retarded peoples see your champion and ban it anyways. Sometimes they do it intentionally because they don't want you to pick their lane. Other times they see your post, think you wanted it banned, then "apologize" later for the mistake.
Good example of this is 
. If they go top lane and you say "don't ban Fiora" they may just ban it anyways. Then they give you some speech how they didn't want Fiora on the enemy team or not (well just pick 
+almost all top laner tanks you retard).
As a result... lets say if you wanted to use Fiora elsewhere (such as jungler which in Bronze is very possible) its GG for you.
So... although I do agree with your general concept in theory... in reality it doesn't always work out...
Ahri Carries All1 votesI can understand your frustration in calling for picks and bans in Ranked. It is ridiculously tough to not step on everyone's toes and make everyone happy.
When I got stuck in Bronze 5 on my former main account, I saw such arguments made as "respect pick order", "sorry I'm first therefore I am taking mid", etc. and it made me pretty upset. I enjoyed playing the solo lanes, mostly because I knew that no matter what happened, the only person who could screw it up was me. If I got forced into a role I wasn't too good in, and we lost, I got blamed, flamed and reported. Twas not a good time.
There are a few things that I think any ranked player can do to make the pick and ban phase of the game way more interesting for the whole team.
Try and figure out who's comfortable in what role and put them there. If someone wants top, give them top.
Be sure you have all the roles understood before entering into Ranked. If you can't do ADC and you're stuck in the role, you have undeniably screwed your team over. Have champs for all roles and make sure you can at least play one champ per role.
Keep a positive attitude. If you get stuck on Support, don't let that spoil your attitude. You can still have a huge impact, especially if you become the team's coordinator. I've led games from the role of Support and it has ended pretty well for me and my team (this is all on my former main though), but none of it would be possible if I flamed from the very start.
Picks and bans can be fun, but not when the players don't cooperate and communicate to the guy banning and picking.
