I just skipped a division - questions and comments

I started playing league in season 4, ranked in season 5. I finished gold 5 in both seasons 5 and 6, each time with good win rates and high LP gains / mmr (+24-26 for a win, playing with high gold / low plat).

Not sure if it's relevant as I've only played flex queue so far this season. Predominantly solo, although i think I've queued up twice (maaaaybe 3 times) with good teammates from a previous solo queued win.

I went 4-6 in placements and got bronze 1. After a long time in bronze (about 25 games including two failed and one successful promo attempt), followed by 4 straight losses in silver 5 0LP, i finally found my stride (read, realized it's easier to hard carry low elo from the mid Lane than top) and have pretty much won out since then.

Gaining 26 LP per win, i got through silver 5 promos 2W1L then silver 4 promos. I went 2W0L and got promoted to... silver 2.

So, questions first followed by comments: Q1: skipping a division obviously means my mmr is higher than my rank. How much higher? Q2: I've read you can skip divisions or skip promo series. I've seen streamers and now myself do the former. I've never seen the latter, however it seems like a smaller prize (i.e. should be easier). Has anyone ever been promoted without needing to complete a series? Q3: does skipping a division and continuing to win at a high rate make it extremely likely / certain that I'll continue skipping divisions (although skipping silver 1 straight to gold 5 seems unlikely)? Or does the skipped division make me "catch up" and i shouldn't expect to skip any more? Q4: i have relatively few games played (70s?), and less than 150 from prior seasons. Is it possible to skip after winning streaks despite many games played, or only when you've played few enough that mmr isn't confident where you belong?

C1: rumor was that you can only skip divisions 2 and 4. This made sense since going up a Tier was a big deal on its own (so no skipping division 5 or 1). However I've just proven that you can indeed skip division 3. C2: I've previously gained 26Lp per win when in silver 1 and was only promoted to gold 5, which supports C1. C3: My LP gain for my first win after promotion was +27LP - greater than I was gaining before skipping a division.
