3 Years old, no price change
How come there are champions that are 3 years old who still cost 6300 IP? That's quite a long time to keep the price so high. It needs to be dropped.

I was under the impression that it was based off of 1.# Of people who buy the champ 2. The age of the champ
Champion price reduction occurs when a new champion is released. Whenever a new champion is released, the oldest champion in the 6300 tier is then dropped to the 4800 tier which is why ziggs got dropped to 4800 when Ekko came out
They are slowly getting reduced. 1 champion gets reduced every champion released and every 3rd champion released a champion from a lower tier (1350, 3100, 4800) gets reduced a tier or two.
I wouldn't have a problem with the price of champs if it weren't for the fact that runes are so expensive ... if they dropped the prices on those and offered a modest IP refund for runes already purchased then I'd be happy as can be.
Edit: fat chance that'll ever happen though, runes encourage ppl to buy champs through RP :/

How long does it take to farm 6,300 IP? I have over 125k so I don't pay attention anymore.
It's only logical. Every new champ, the oldest 6.3k IP champ gets to become 4.8k IP. Ofc when the champion updating gets slower the price's reducing is slowed as well. Now maybe you'd want the new champs to be shitty but delivered more often but then why even care about the 6.3k IP champs.

The way riot has the price drops scheduled asymptotically approaches an average price of ~4300. There will always be a lot of 6300 champs.

I would agree but the champ list for 6300ip champs in comparison to 4800ip champs are ass imo, so why even bother.
