How come there are champions that are 3 years old who still cost 6300 IP? That's quite a long time to keep the price so high. It needs to be dropped.

Kinda normal in this kind of site. Already happened to me in LoL Reddit: posting the same thing with some interval between them to avoid being kicked. People disagree with it (even tho it wouldn't affect them in any way), downvote, other see downvote too. Then in one of the attempts a group upvoted it, others followed, 2 days in the front page. I don't get it -_-"

They are slowly getting reduced. 1 champion gets reduced every champion released and every 3rd champion released a champion from a lower tier (1350, 3100, 4800) gets reduced a tier or two.

Champion price reduction occurs when a new champion is released. Whenever a new champion is released, the oldest champion in the 6300 tier is then dropped to the 4800 tier which is why ziggs got dropped to 4800 when Ekko came out

I wouldn't have a problem with the price of champs if it weren't for the fact that runes are so expensive ... if they dropped the prices on those and offered a modest IP refund for runes already purchased then I'd be happy as can be.

Edit: fat chance that'll ever happen though, runes encourage ppl to buy champs through RP :/

Fiora is the oldest 6300 IP champ, and she was released on 2/29/2012. So she'll be the next champ to get a price reduction, when the next new champion comes out.

Other 6300 IP champs also 3 years old: Lulu, Hecarim, Varus, Darius and Draven.

Answer to that question you probably didn't care to have answered: quite a while if you can't play the game fairly often and still don't want to be shut out in terms of champions that you want to play.

Like a month if you have a life. What I do is farm from bots with the 1st win bonus to get 200+ IP everyday.

Sounds about right. It used to take me roughly a week or less, but was when I no-lifed it pretty hardcore. Now I don't even have the chance and wouldn't take it if I could, so it takes me about a month or so per champion at 6300 IP.

The only reason I have 32k ip is because I already own every single champion and can easily buy every new champion that comes out. I also have all the runes I could possibly need at this point, but for players who are newer or can't put as much time and money into League it can be extremely hard to get up to 63k, especially when you still need to buy runes and stuff.

If you only play one game a day, it probably takes a month and a half (assuming average 75 IP per game and ~50% win rate).

If you play 3 games a day, it probably takes about 2.5 weeks.

That's probably not a bad rate for either new players or players "with lives". You either spend money or you spend time to get those 6300 IP champs. Between all the champs that are 1350 IP or less and the free champion rotation, there's plenty of options until someone can farm up 6300 IP.

I wish I could go back in time and unspend the $200 I spent on this game for champions (and like 5 skins, but I don't regret those). I've changed my name like 7 times already because I have nothing to spend IP on.

I picked the game up three months ago and get about 500~700 IP a day, depending on how much I play. That includes the first win of the day bonus. So 6300 IP takes a little more than a week.

About a couple of days depending if you can play a all nighter and lose sleep for it.

To do it in 2 days, you'd have to grind 40 games a day. If you went 48 hours straight with no sleep and played straight through, you would have to average a game every 36 minutes, including queue time and champion select. That's quite the grind!

6300 IP in 7 days is a solid grind. You would need about 10 games a day. At 45 minutes per game (including queue time, champion select, and some break time), it's like playing League as a full time job.

The way riot has the price drops scheduled asymptotically approaches an average price of ~4300. There will always be a lot of 6300 champs.

It's only logical. Every new champ, the oldest 6.3k IP champ gets to become 4.8k IP. Ofc when the champion updating gets slower the price's reducing is slowed as well. Now maybe you'd want the new champs to be shitty but delivered more often but then why even care about the 6.3k IP champs.
