The LeaverBuster is stupid as it is.

I love the thought that I would have to wait 5 minutes. I love the fact I wait 10 minutes. But you are being a bunch of idiots if you think I'm going to reform if I wait 20 minutes.

I get all the time I want while waiting 20 minutes. I can get something to eat, or watch some funny videos. I can even start a match, have it count down and be able to do something needed then come back before it even says I've found one.

If I miss the match, I get another (free) extra 20 minutes to do whatever. This is also a good way to help me learn I don't even need to play League.

There are even times where I have a tight schedule and have only an hour to play, luckily my 20 minute mark is there. It reminds me I have no time to play. No time to try and better myself.

I'm also lucky it even adds more with no good reason.

At first, just waiting 3 times for 20 minutes was hard, but now, I'm fine with this.

If all I had to wait was 10 minutes, then I'd feel more obligated to play but sad I have to wait so long. 20 minutes is just like playing a game without even needing to.

10 minutes is also a good amount of time for previous people to already find a match, leave, or such.

It's also nice to see that this version of LeaverBuster doesn't have the certain rules needed. Such as, if I were to go a full month with no leaves, my LeaverBuster can go from this 20 minutes to 10 minutes if I leave and if I do it in another consecutive time within a month, it goes up to 20 minutes; if I am able to go the rest of the month with no leaves, it stays at 10. If I am able to go that month with no leaves, it goes back to 5 minutes the next month. And, the month after, it goes back to a warning.

Too bad, if I get one LeaverBuster, it stays there, even after 2 years, and if I get another I get a harsh punishment such as a 20 minute wait rather than the warning or at least a 5 minute wait.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like leaverbuster... but the things you have a problem with are exactly what make it effective.

It's called a 'punishment' because it is supposed to punish you. A good punishment is not something you can avoid, it is something you have to endure.

If you could just avoid it by playing on a smurf or taking a break from the game, it wouldn't be much of a punishment would it?

But as to the duration... it's not 20 minutes to start, it builds up to 20. Punishments start at 5 and escalate from there. So if you've reached 20 it means you already passed the point where both 5 and 10 minute punishments were deemed suitable without improving. And leaverbuster is based off of # of games played, not time... so you could wait a year and have it not change... but on the contrary you could also play 15 games in a day and clear most if not all of your punishment in a single day.
