Weird real life question.

So, like the title says, I got a wierd question for ya, League forums. I don't know that anyone can really give me a good answer, but I don't have anyone else I can talk to, so I may as well give it a shot, right?

Now, sparing you the whole sob story, I never had friends growing up (and still have none), have never so much as been on a date or hugged a girl (or anyone for that matter, not even my family), and my family kind of shuns me. I assumed most nerds were kind of lonely as well, until I went to Sakuracon last weekend. I saw nerds (that word isn't negative in my book, just saying) everywhere, saw couples everywhere, lots of people hanging around friends, and I felt kind of left out.

Anyway, weird question time! Where do nerds find other nerd friends, and how do nerds become couples? I assume most nerds sit in front of their computers / consoles a lot, so I don't know where they would even go.

I know the forums aren't the best place to ask, but I have no one else to talk to -- and being alone isn't as fun as you'd imagine.
