This is a Video Game Forum, for League of Legends. This isn't english class, you know 100% what they mean or else you wouldn't have commented about it, so please stop with the "It's You're, not "Your" comments :)

It's really not that difficult to write correctly in a language if you're a native speaker.

It isn't, but I don't pay to much detail to grammar when writing on a Video Game Forum. Especially when incorrect spelling such little mistakes such as "Your and You're".

It affects readability, Like When People Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word.

I know what they are saying but it is profoundly annoying to read.

You knew what the word meant and I doubt your brain gave any second thought, to it. Unless you're a perfectionist, who can't have any mistakes. It's an incredibly common mistake.

No I don't because this is a small detail "Your and You're" vs spelling like a retard. Hey hao R U duin , hao wus ur day?

It makes someone come off as very uneducated if they're a native speaker though. Granted, the comments are annoying, but come on. It's not that hard to use the right contraction. At most, it's an extra half a second out of your busy day.

I'm not Native speaker though. My first language is Spanish, not English. It's an extra half a second, that I didn't pay attention to. Because I could care less about such little mistakes. There's a difference with huge grammar issues (People using U instead of you, not using capitalizing every letter, You Are Not Correct, etc. )

Like I said, I was only talking about native speakers. It comes off as blatant laziness and makes them seem uneducated. Though, even as a non-native speaker I'd still try and use the correct form -- it's good practice, but that's just me.

I will try and use the correct form. But it's such a small detail "You're" that for most people it goes unnoticed. Especially on a Video Game Forum. Yes I shouldn't start speaking like an idiot like saying, How R U Tadoy!?. But most of the time you just come off sounding like an ass commenting "It's You're not Your"

That's not what I'm talking about. Let me try again.

If you don't care about the mistake itself, why do you care about people pointing it out to you?

It can't be because they caught a mistake you missed - you don't care about that mistake.

It can't be because they somehow look superior to you - you've established that you believe it makes them look like an asshole.

So what is there to be upset about? Seems to me that they're not worth the time or effort of caring what they do or think in the first place.

But you are upset, that much is evident. Thus, my question: why do you care?
