Why are Summoner names suppressed in Match History?

I can imagine why displaying Champion names would make more sense as the default, but it's strange that we can't just click on a Champion to get their Summoner's profile. Surely that data is in the system. Why is it being blocked?

It's probably not relevant in most cases, but when it is, its absence is troublesome. For example, I'm trying to score a few Factions matches right now, and there's a match where the players forgot to send in a screenshot from na.op.gg so I could get everyone's ranks entered in, and the Match History is pretty useless because it doesn't give many Summoner names.
