Why is Veigar getting all the hate and not Nasus?

After the early stages of the game, Nasus just becomes an immovable brick who just freezes the lane right before the minions get into tower range and just farm.

Veigar can 100 - 0 someone with 1 combo while it takesNasus like 2 Q's and an auto attack.

because veigar scales much faster than nasus

It's fashionable to hate on Veigar right now, plus the fact Nasus is relatively kiteable in lategame. I still despise him as a champion because he completely invalidates attack speed champions in top lane and is basically un-harrassable due to his passive and ability to itemize straight tank, however.

I might take you seriously if your name wasn't there.

Nasus is beyond annoying, but atleast you can kite him. Veigar meanwhile stuns/zones your whole team while 2 shotting multiple people with w+q.

Especially with the recent champion changes, there's a lot more people can do against Nasus. Yes if he gets to full build late game then he's able to destroy people with his stacks while being unkillable, but the problem is his ability to get there.

Nasus has a horrid laning phase and Riot allows this because of his late game potential. Darius, Teemo, Fiora, GP, Garen, Riven, Jax, and a number of other champs have much more dueling power than Nasus early on, and a good one will prevent the lane from pushing into Nasus while punishing him for each cs he goes for since he needs to get into melee range for his stacks.

Veigar also has things that Nasus wish he had, namely hard cc, an ability that damaged your opponent scaling with their stats, range (and ranged stackability), and fewer counters. Nasus can be kited, has a much worse laning phase than Veigar, and Nasus needs a lot more gold to utilize his stacks than Veigar.

Agreed. At least veigar's got mana costs. Wtf is 20 mana cost on Nasus Q? That's bullshit. If you want him to have a bad early game, start by giving him some mana costs

It's because people are using him now. It's not like much changed after his patch. But since people are seeing more play with him, people are playing against him more.

Nasus's stacks scale on one of his abilities, his Q. He's also been stealth nerfed after the juggernaut rework, since top lane added Darius, Garen, and Fiora -- All of which can counter Nasus relatively hard. You can kite a Nasus. He can 2-shot people, but he'll never get close enough to do so, and at the very least it would take him 4s.

Veigars abilities scale on three of his abilities, with a net of 260% AP. Two of those abilities are multi-target, and the third scales off of the opponents AP ratio. On top of that, Veigar has a stronger version of Thresh ult and J4 ult. And that's a non-ultimate ability, on a low CD. His weaknesses can be overcome, simply because he can farm from 950 range with his abilities.

Nasus is annoying, but he can be beaten in lane early. And once late game hits, he gets kited to oblivion. Veigar is safer early, has a stronger mid and late game. If Nasus falls behind early, he's not going to be useful. He'll wither someone, spirit fire an area, but ultimately be a meh tank. Veigar will always have his multi-target stun, and his ult that scales off of his opponents stats.

I'd prefer they leave Veigar just the way he is, I enjoy the freelo when I'm against him, though I've kind of seen him taper off so people are probably waking up.
