there is a pick order, you are likely screwing someone over, even if they don't mind, things can get complicated and it's just not good.
prefer nobody ask for trades, and prefer nobody accept trades.

Trades allow you to better counter pick the enemy team, particularly if someone higher in pick order has called an important lane.
Trades should be supported, and people should grow up and not use "pick order" as an end all, be all rule of law.
Why not let people work it out for themselves ("Hey, can you grab Thresh, I'll trade you") so that they can play who they need/want to play? It isn't mandatory, so if you don't want to trade, then.. don't.
The only thing I could see being a problem is someone saying, "I'm gonna get this, trade me that" and then locking in without waiting for a response. But then you're just being a dick and deserve whatever comes.
