Hanging Up My Cleats - Requesting Real Accounts

I have to tell you that I'm a little sad. Today's the day when I realized this game really isn't worth the time investment. And when I say investment, what I mean is, the enjoyment I get from the game isn't worth the results of the time I spend playing. As a game, I love LoL. It's got the strategy, the champ pool, and the team dynamics I love in a game. But unless you add real accounts, linked to something other than an email address (like a credit card) then it's not really going to work out.

Trolls are trolls and they exist everywhere, I get that. But they have an unbelievable level of control over other peoples games in LoL. That might be a part of a MOBA, fine. But the way I see it, there's not a serious effort to snuff them out. And no one honestly care about what they're doing. When you finally get around to removing a troll, they just recreate an account. The only thing that's really been done is that you've made it harder to know who you're going into a game against.

I thought your change to move people out of ranked if reported enough was a great one. I hope in time it ends up working out. But I'm an old man as video games go, and I just don't see the limited time I already have to play this game worth it anymore. Hopefully there's something coming down the line that holds people accountable. Until that time, LoL is going to to come in after "walks around the neighborhood" and "rearranging the sock drawer."

All the best, Rook
