Hey Riot, can you pull your head out? Just for one second?
You talk so much of "balance," and talk so much about "skill," yet I see none of it in this game. When a champion who LITERALLY does nothing but auto attack (which, you know, you don't aim, can't miss, and don't have to even think about) is the strongest in the game, how is that "balanced" or "skill-based" in any way? You release champions who rely on skillshots and complex mechanics (Azir, Ekko, Illaoi, a good portion of the mages, Yasuo, etc.), yet, other than Yasuo, they all just absolutely pale in comparison to an ADC, Xin, Yi, Olaf, or some other braindead champion that takes zero effort or thought to play -- and I'm expected to believe that's "fair and balanced?"
Back before Riot was even an idea, video games were a challenge, and you didn't just win because everything was handed to you -- no, you won because you put in the time and effort to improve your play and overcome those challenges. League? Hell, just go stand in lane for 10 minutes and you win as Vayne, because you got a BORK. Or you bought a Cleaver on Olaf. Or Devourer on Yi / Xin. No effort or anything goes into their winning, they just win by their items alone -- not because of anything they do or don't do. Meanwhile, a full-build Azir does less sustained damage than any ADC in the game, 'cause that's apparently not his niche or anything, and any "tank" just melts under the skill-fest that is AA spam.
So, please, if you're going to call this game "balanced," at least admit your lying straight to our faces. What "balanced" really means is "most profitable," because, honestly, how many bratty, entitled kids (and that includes adults who have that attitude) would throw money at you if they had to -actually try- in order to win? My bet is not many.
Now, on the off chance that you actually do believe this game is balanced -- what planet were you born on?
-
Champion A: Walk up, right-click, win. (AA spam)
-
Champion A2: Walk up, hover mouse over you, roll face, win. (Targeted abilities that can't miss, but for some reason do 1/2 of your HP per cast)
-
Champion B: Walk up, Q (Skillshot) > AA + E > AA > W (Skillshot) > AA > Q > AA > E + AA > R (Skillshot, near impossible to land reliably)... (All while moving, dodging, kiting, aiming, and all that.)
Now, who do you think put in more effort there? Probably champion B. If you had both of those champions attack a target, and Champion A did nothing but AA, while Champion B did their full rotation, who would do more damage over 5 seconds? ABSOLUTELY Champion A. How about an assassin vs. an ADC in two seconds? Who would do more damage? Yep, you guessed it, still the ADC.
So,
-
ADC / Clicker: Zero thought + Zero effort + Zero skill + Zero risk (unless your entire team collapses on them and CCs them for 20 seconds) = All the reward.
-
Complex champion / mage: Lots of effort + Lots of thought and planning + Lots of risk + High skill cap = Pathetic reward.
That's fair? Really?
So, Riot, can you explain to me how, and in what world, this game is balanced? If not, can you at least try to stop humping your diamond-lined wallet for one season, and actually give a damn about making your game fun to play, and rewarding to play the harder champions? Because, right now, there is absolutely no reason to play anything with skillshots -- it's literally a voluntary handicap.
You can't win in this game and have fun at the same time, and that's a problem.
