Redmercy, the (somewhat) popular League Youtuber, has sent out a challenge to anyone who is willing to accept it. There are no prizes at the end, or anything special, this is just to improve your game, and the game of others. The video isn't too long, but I will still recap the different rules of this challenge.

#1: No OP.GG, etc.

This is pretty straightforward. Don't use the sites that give you information on your teammates and/or opponents. This could drastically affect your mentality towards your opponent, and your teammates. If you end up against someone who doesn't have a good win rate on the champion they're playing, you could become overconfident, and underestimate your opponent. The same goes for the opposite. You could see your possibly against a smurf, and end up overestimating your opponent, and playing much differently than you normally would.

This also works towards teammates as well. You could see your teammate is on a champ they don't normally play, and could negatively pressure them to play better than they have been, which could actually push your teammate into playing even worse than they have been.

#2: No Toxicity

We can all agree that the League Community REALLY needs to clean up the amount of toxicity in the game. This rule is fairly straightforward as well; essentially, its the old rule of "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." I know this is far more difficult than it sounds. I, myself, don't consider myself as a negative person, but this game brings out the rager in me sometimes, because I actually take this game seriously, and I want to get better at it. Not raging at someone who seems like they have no idea what they're doing is exceedingly difficult, but, if you do, you could just push your teammate to playing even worse than already are.

Just remember that everyone will have a bad game at some point. EVERYONE.

#3: Vision

Anyone who has been playing this game for around a year should know that vision is the most important mechanic in this game hands down (with the very slight possible exception of farming). The challenge here is to try and buy at least 1 green ward every time you head back to base. Upgrade your trinket by at least lvl 11, or even lvl 9 if you can. This is not a waste of gold by any means. The upgraded trinkets (especially the yellow ones) are incredibly powerful, and well worth the 250 gold.

#4: Don't Chase

Redmercy has developed a new rule towards chasing that he has started using himself: the 5 second rule. If you are chasing someone for around 5 seconds, and you can't get to the person you're chasing and kill them, then back off. Also, try and gauge how long the chase will take. If you can easily tell that it will take more than 5 seconds, back off, and go look for an objective to take if possible.

Speaking of objectives...

#5: Objectives

This rule is the least straightforward of them all. Essentially, the challenge is to think ahead, and figure out what objectives are right to take at the right time. I think Red explains it better than I could, so, for this rule, I highly suggest watching the video.

And that's it. This challenge, as I said, is to improve not only your game, but the game of the others around you. Who knows, if you continue to practice this, you may end up seeing yourself rising through the ranks.

Feel free to share your thoughts here, or on the video comments. As a disclaimer, this all Redmercy's idea, and not mine. All credit should be given to him, I am just making this visible to the boards to share.

So basically do what I've been doing in league already. I don't think I've use op.gg, or any other league look-up site in a long time. It's pointless, and even then I really only looked it up to see my friends. No toxic is easy. Been playing 5 years and going not even once a warning of my behavior. Vision. I play support, plus always upgrade my trinkets. The last two are self explanatory!
