Supports... how do you do it?

I was just stuck as support in ranked and any time someone died to lack of vision it was my fault. Top lane facechecked river brush and got killed by 3 "Can you learn to use your sightstone noob?" This was about 8 minutes in. Didn't realize warding top lane was the support's job. Warded Baron. Enemy clears it. Ward again. Cleared it. Ward it with my last ward as they are doing Baron. They clear it and our jungler flashes in blind and fails to steal. "This support is literally r%%%%%ed. fucking ward dipshit."

Adc dies in lane? All your fault. Get tower dove by all 5? Support's fault.

Holy shit you support mains are either amazingly tolerant people or fucking insane.

Here's how I ensure my adc stays in line (I main adc in ranked, tho):

plays Sona

ADC: "Omg noob support" Me: "Oh hey, looks like Rengar is having trouble in the jungle. Better go on roam" ADC: "Omg don't leave me to a 1v2" Me: "I-I'm sorry, I thought the pro adc didn't need a support." ADC: "I'll report you!" Mid: "Stfu" Top: "Stfu" Rengar: "You know, I wouldn't mind a couple heals—" ADC: "I'm sorry! I need you!" Me: "That's right, bitch."

When u supp, u have to treat the adc like a lover. Be gentle don't yell, don't let others touch him, praise him when he gets a kill, always be mentally prepare to sacrifice yourself so the adc can escape

My version of a support is what others would call a carry, but in my opinion the best defense is a glass cannon.

Lol we are probably both amazingly tolerant and insane. What people don't understand sightstone has limitations, there no unlimited wards only 3 at a time and a pink at a time. If the top laner does repeatedly because he refusing to spend 75 gold an use his free trinket then he deserves to die. This game is full of people that blame others for their own fails. As long as your supporting your carries, peeling, warding, making plays to set up kills etc. Then your doing your job an sometimes you have to stand up to yourself an tell laners to buy wards, because they won't do it on their own. Ranked its worse than normal games because people think wards are a waste of gold an its the complete opposite. Vision wins games, face checking unwarded bushes and running off on your own will get you killed an its no bodies fault but their own. Upgrading trinkets is also an issue. This should always happen an its only 250g not like its the cost of Frozen Mallet. So there no excuse. You got to have thick skin sometime because people are going to flame an blame either the support or jungler. It is what it is.

Get a duo, have them back you up. Politely inform teammates that they can buy wards as well.

ADC, drag and Baron is all your stuff. All you have to do is ward it and they were just being idiots. It had nothing to do with you. I don't even ward Baron unless they are being pushed or are pushing really hard at the inhibiter turret.

I play support a lot and well having played support quite a bit since season 3 you kinda grow thick skin. Now granted in previous seasons you would rush the ruby sightstone so you could place 5 wards return to base and place 5 more, it was why you also needed gold per 10 runes and a couple of gold producing items that are no longer available.

Now with only being able to place 3 and 1 pink i still rush a sightstone but only ward my bottom area to begin with and well warding round dragon when you go for it and then back so you can replace the wards that you just used.

Top lane dies 8 mins in and blames the support i would laugh and say "i didnt realize it was duo top....now which support is it that didnt ward for you, we will report that useless top lane support who isnt warding for you"

As someone said get well aquainted and fall in love with the mute button i have muted many an adc while playing support, it really annoys them if they have to ping for you all the time.

But really enjoy the times when your adc tells you good job and well done if you set them up for double kills.
