I can't accept losing, it's never my fault and don't argue that. Trust me i always lose if people die too much too fast. The thing is i always freak out if i lose two games :( my last 20 matches were 75% wins, i lost two matches and got to 65% so am depressed

If I get two losses in a row, I take a break. Clearly not a good time to League lol

"I can't accept losing" Then maybe playing ranked on a game where the matches are expected to have a 50% loss rate is not such a good idea?

Oddysseas1 votes

You are exactly confirming my words, this game has 50-50 win rate in all elos. Therefore lp gains and losses should always be the same. The problem is my mmr is bad so i lose so much and only gain alittle. This is why i freak out when i lose. I lose one match and then i have to win 3 to get back so if i lose 2 i must win 6 and if i lose 3 i mist win 9. This is how stupid riot's ranking system is. That is why i freak out if i lose more than one games in a row. My winrate is 57-58% that is good. My last 20 games are 13 wins and 7 losses, that is 65%. Still not enough apparently for their stupid system to start giving me more lp and take less....

That doesn't really follow. And honestly, if your current rank aligned with your current MMR, your LP gain/loss would be the same.

Well... no. Since the last time I looked at your MMR (I edited my post on that thread a little while back if you want to see), you've gained somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 MMR. You were, however, almost 200 MMR below the average for your rank.

So while you're improving your MMR, and that's fantastic, you're still behind where it wants you to be for your rank.

It's really hard for people to keep an over 55% win rate in bronze my friend, especially for so long. Indeed my mmr improved but there is alot of anxiety on my part to keep my win rate high enough, i lose a match and i feel i got 10 steps behind. I lost two in a row, one i was adc and i had diana support me, she kept trying to poke and although i told her to play safer, she kept getting hooked by enemy blitzcrank and fed the enemy adc, from then on things got really hard, mean while my mid laner was feeding and i couldn't help because i was behind myself. I ended up losing even tho it wasn't my fault. Then next game in a row, i am top lane doing even agains my enemy, bot we had a vayne vrs a graves, vayne fed graves, also oir jungler kept trying to help and died 13 times offering no help, our midlaner was even but he never called MIA and the enemy midlaner roamed and got kills. I couldn't leave my lane also as if i had, the enemy top laner would free farm and get ahead of me. My bot lane lost all dragons, they fed and we lost.

Those were two losses for neither of which i was responsible.

I am not saying anything, it's all in the plan, however keeping my winrate high seems stressful and hard for me....

See this? This is a mindset. This mindset is actually detrimental to your improvement.

I looked at both of those games in your Match History. It's certainly true that you weren't the sole cause of either of those losses. But neither were you doing much to ensure your team's victory.

In the Graves game, you had almost the highest deaths in the game, with the second lowest kill participation, and incredibly low farm.

In the Nasus game, you - again - had almost the highest deaths in the game, with participation that wasn't that much better than the rest of your team.

What you need to be focusing on is the fact that - regardless of your team - you weren't playing all that well yourself. And while they certainly could have done more, so could you. Once you begin to focus more on your own play than that of others, you'll see more improvement - and the more you improve, the more you'll win.

See that, this is exactly what all people do. In the graves game diana died almost 1 minute in the lane, then she came back when she got killed again. That explains my low farm, and many deaths, as an adc you are the most vulnerable role in the game. And defensively weak.

In the nasus game i was even in my lane until i HAD to join the teamfights where their fed bot lane destroyed me, as the tankiest of my team i had no choice buy to be the frontline and therefore i died the most after a certain point, when the enemy gets so fed to point that they van turret dive with no problem it's not your fault when you die.

The thing is i DON'T really care, i won't give any further explanation of my performance. That isn't the issue here. Since i wasn't the one who started this feeding chain, i don't really care.

The problem is regardless of whose fault it is, win rates are hard to keep high in ANY elo. Maybe it was me who fed, maybe it wasn't, the point remains thr same. We aren't game critics to start saying whose fault it is and who to blame for the loss.

If you note, what I said - very explicitly - was "It's certainly true that you weren't the sole cause of either of those losses."

I'm not saying you were to blame. I'm saying that you're spending far too much attention to what the rest of your team was doing wrong, and not nearly enough attention to what you could have done better.

If you want to get better - and thus increase your winrates, and thus increase your MMR, and thus increase your rank - you need to be focused on your mistakes and limitations, rather than those of the people around you.

In the graves game diana died almost 1 minute in the lane, then she came back when she got killed again. That explains my low farm, and many deaths, as an adc you are the most vulnerable role in the game. And defensively weak.

Yes. I know she did. I'm also aware that she didn't ward overmuch (nor did anyone else on your team) and that she was generally careless. My point is, there were things you could have done to mitigate some of that - positioning to keep Blitz from you, warding more yourself to make up for the lack of vision, staying near your turret, and avoiding fights while you farmed (just off the top of my head).

If you continue to focus on what Diana did, you won't learn how to avoid the mistakes that you made. It doesn't matter who caused the loss - what matters is how well - or poorly - you played, and what you can learn from it.

The thing is i DON'T really care, i won't give any further explanation of my performance. That isn't the issue here. Since i wasn't the one who started this feeding chain, i don't really care.

I'm not asking you to explain your performance. I'm trying to explain that this "it's not my fault because I'm awesome" state of mind you have is working against you. I'm trying to explain that you need to start examining your own play with a critical eye, so that you don't have to deal with players like that as much.

In fact, I only brought those games up because you mentioned them, they were recent, and so I thought you would be more likely to remember them well. They were nothing more than examples. The specifics are meaningless. The point itself remains.

The problem is regardless of whose fault it is, win rates are hard to keep high in ANY elo.

Here's the thing: If I take a player who keeps a 50% win rate at Gold ELO and give him an account with a ~600 MMR, he's going to have a lot higher win-rate.

I watched a thread for awhile in the old GD forum from a Gold player who leveled up a new smurf just to test this. After bombing his MMR (and placing B5), he started trying to climb. And during that climb - up to S2 before I quit paying attention - he lost about 2-4 games total.

If your MMR is below your skill level, you'll win more than 50% of your matches. If your MMR is above your skill level, you'll lose more than 50% of your matches. The closer your MMR is to your skill level, the smaller those changes will be.

If you want to rank up, play better. You can do that by learning from your mistakes - but first you have to admit to yourself that you're making them.

Please understand, I'm not trying to say that you're bad or you suck or anything like that. But it's pretty evident you're making mistakes, and I think that this mindset you have of "it's not my fault" is holding you back from improving on that. I genuinely think you can be better, if you let yourself.

Don't judge people's performance by their match history. I've been in games before where I've did fairly well, but other lanes fed and thus, getting me killed several times by the end of the match.

There are games where I've done everything correctly, and end up losing because one or two of my teammates just continue to make terrible decisions. For example, when to dragon/baron, people not upgrading their trinket, support not buying sightstone, people not committing to team fights when they should, the list goes on.

You will see a lot of the examples in the Bronze to Low Gold a lot.

I think you may be missing my point. I was using his Match History to bring up specific issues that he could focus on to illustrate the point that focusing on how others screwed everything up ("It's not my fault") was a mentality that was actually keeping him from improving.

However, the new Match History has a lot of data to help isolate issues with play - I've used it looking at my own game to see what I could have done better. For instance (to avoid harping on OP, or seeming like I'm picking on you, I'll use one of my own games as an example):

In this example, I can see that I was doing pretty well in lane. Based on the Kill/Death heatmap, it looks like I was playing Cho'Gath mid against Yasuo, which got my jungler First Blood. I did fairly well in lane (took me almost 11 minutes before my first death, and I was 1/0/1 before that). My farm, however, was fairly low (only 126 in a 28min game? For shame).

Looking over my teammates, it looks like everyone was struggling - Skarner was bullying Udyr pretty hard, and both top and bot lanes were having trouble. Another thing besides my CS that I might have done better is roam (I'm notoriously bad about not roaming much, something I'm trying to improve). If I could have gotten a good roam bot or top to get them more fed - or buy them more time to farm - it may have turned things around for us.

Looking at the statistics of the game, I can see that I definitely needed to ward more. I'm tied for lowest number of wards (only 5 all game), and I never bothered to purchase any. Which was very careless of me, especially considering how effectively that Skarner was ganking.

Additionally, it's pretty evident that I died way too many times. I have a lot of participation to make up for that, but I should have been much more cautious about where I was - I got caught out a couple of times, and was overconfident about who I could fight a couple others.

I would certainly say that the genesis of that loss could be chalked up to my Pantheon and Udyr - and to a lesser extent, Tristana - but frankly, that wouldn't help me. I had options to help mitigate their mistakes, and I didn't take them - those are my mistakes, and I can only improve my looking at myself.

And that's my entire point: Focusing on the mistakes of others blinds one to one's own limitations, which - in the long run - have a significantly larger impact on how one's ratings.

There are games where I've done everything correctly, and end up losing because one or two of my teammates just continue to make terrible decisions. For example, when to dragon/baron, people not upgrading their trinket, support not buying sightstone, people not committing to team fights when they should, the list goes on.

Some games are unwinnable. The better you are - and the worse the people you're matched with - the fewer games will be unwinnable for you. But improving means focusing on one's own play, rather than that of others.

it's never my fault and don't argue that.

if you were so good at this game you would be in challenger then. Horrible place to start a conversation from. I bet if i watched 5 of your games i would find things you are doing wrong. If you are doing something wrong you are then your are contributing to your loss.

Pretty much every time you died you did something wrong. Every time you missed a CS you did something wrong. You never know maybe all those little mistakes are why you are losing, Or Maybe not. I will tell you that your attitude is pretty shitty and you are where you belong cause of it.

If you are so good (cough bronze), post a unedited youtube of a match. Watch as the people of the boards rip it apart and then try saying you do nothing wrong.

What are you doing?

For the love of Baron, upgrade that thing.
