Besides Mobility what does Cho'Gath lack?

After being trashed by him as a melee champ countless times I decided to give him a try and i've found that cho has crazy utility in his kit. I honestly think the only thing keeping him from being god tier is being immobile. You can build full damage and still be quite tanky as well as be full tank and still do a hefty amount of damage.

I don't think he's kited as easy as most immobile tanks (Like, say nasus) since his Q and W have decent range and if you get a frozen mallet or rylias he can stick pretty nicely.

His sustain is stupid good as well. I don't get why he isn't more popular he's actually really good. Might not be the best since he's immobile and someone higher than gold could probably kite him really well but gold and below I can see him working pretty good.

I think his Q's are rather easy to predict and dodge.

Biggest problem with Cho is that if he dies once in late game, it's rather hard for him to actually pick it back up due to the stack lost.

unreliable CC other than his silence, immobile, existence of item 3153

well i think only fix he needs is that R was made instant, short skill range and casting time means enemy will move away from you and spell will fizzle, supper annoying

His Silence with it's high AP ratio makes him insanely good in the meta now. I used to pick him all the time in ranked. The issue is he cannot gank other lanes, and once he's thrown his knock up, he is pretty screwed until it is back up. But like Twisted Fate's E, I don't see the late game presence passive autoattack extra damage can do on champions who try to stay in the back unless absolutely necessary. The silence I think is his real bread and butter.

I lost games because I had teams who would enter fights after I missed a Q to go "Cho why didn't you do anything!?", "Wow you're the worst tank, Cho mid, wtf troll"

People don't expect his high ratios, but at the same time they expect you to tank all the damage and CC the enemy team. As a Mage'Gath, you want to lock in 1 rupture on a carry, then flash Feral Scream/Feast (erased) and then proceed to autoattack until you die or CDs are back up. It's like Lux but with less range.

He's in a weird spot between a mage and a tank. If he goes too much damage, he'll die thanks to BotRK and LW. If he goes too tanky, then he becomes a cc bot.
