So, I've played over 3000 games in silver (yes, three THOUSAND), and now... this.

happened so many times that I am used to it. But I always sigh at the sight of 97+ LP It really happened often xD. Its unfortunate, but I doubt they do anything about it... ever. Something OK about that is that if you lose your next one, you MIGHT get in promos the subsequent game (if you win).
