I am fucking sick of this Riot.
Either add a minimum level requirement to send a friend request, allow users to default ignore all friend requests or find some other way to fix this. This has been an issue for months and it is only getting worse.
Sukishoo1 votesA level requirement means that if you have friends join at level 1 and you're a 30 you couldn't add them? Yeah that's counter productive with the way the game works. They want you to be able to play with friends.
I say friend requests should have a pop-up that is like the game invite but says Friend Request Name Level
So at least that way you can tell if its gonna be something real or not. I mean half the time, you should be able to tell a fake account from the name anyway, most say things like "LOL" or "ELO" in them.

If your argument is that two level 1 people would be unable to play together; first of all, you realize that after completing the tutorial, it is about 5 bot games to reach level 5. If you are incapable of playing a few bot games by yourself to get to the appropriate level, then I don't really know what to tell you. And these two friends wouldn't even have this problem, because you can type their name in. For a small period of time.
Also the number of people that would be in this situation is incredibly small.
This is a quick solution to a rather annoying trend that is getting more and more popular and has very little negative impact on the player base.

They aren't all bots anyway, so you can't really call them "bots" first off, as most of these people call them, as they are actually people that have to make these accounts and then use them to pull in people so they can get money from them.

You can invite a level one as level 30. You can type a player's name in to invite them without them being on your friends list.

Tsunday1 votesiirc finishing the tutorial actually gets you level 2, if not just playing 1 game does so I don't think it is a harsh requirement (and typign a username 1 time for that 1 game to get to level 2 shouldn't be hard).
I think the biggest problem with your suggestion (although I wish something like that would be implimented in general) is that it doesn't actually stop bos from sending you requests. Gives you helpful information, but when you get 5 friend requests when you log on seeing their name/level doesn't prevent you from getting them in the first place.

Either I'm just getting randoms from the boards requesting me or bots aren't using those anymore because I've gotten 15-20 requests since the start of the month and none of them have had LOL or ELO in their name, despite the fact that's what all the spam names had in them a few months ago.
Sukishoo1 votesYeah it does but it's not like that's gonna change anything either. Like I said before, I've seen Levels 1-10 add me and other people and they're nothing but spam. Also most of the time they ARE people and not bots. They are just low smurfs level accounts so they don't give away their real account.
And yeah some times they do have different name types because people started using other names.
I for one haven't seen any in a while but tend to not friend anyone I don't know and it's never bothered me if I see a few requests.
Zagdul1 votesIf it were an option to ignore all requests below a threshold, it would solve a lot of problems with receiving the spam. Since it would be optional, turning this off would be an option to add low level friends who are joining League.

I is a Joo1 votesI've literally gotten 10+ requests today alone, my entire block list is made up of these bots, and theres over 50 of them on there, can we do something about this please? Seems like riot says stuff like that is illegal yet doesn't do anything about it at all :/
