Why bother?

Doesn't matter what I do, it's just how "balanced" each team is, and what team has the ***** that goes 1/15. Not allowed to play a champ I enjoy, because they just can't compete with the very "balanced" 30 or so meta champs. Not allowed to have fun or enjoy myself because my team is entirely incapable and makes the game a chore. Also not allowed to have fun because some braindead bullshit like Cassi, Yas, Jax, Yi, any ADC, Anivia, Annie, Pan or something ruins the game and makes it entirely unplayable.

I also know that Riot isn't suddenly going to start caring beyond income potential, and I know the community isn't suddenly going to demand that Riot stop money grubbing. So why do I bother getting upset, or pretend anyone on the forums would give a fuck? Just a waste of time.

I really wish I could quit this game, but there just isn't anything enjoyable anymore, and I actually like playing with people instead of being alone all the time.

Making friends was never something I was good at. That's why I always liked video games, reading, art, movies / anime, and all that. I'm actually a really friendly, talkative person, but I've never once had friends of any kind, even when I was in school.

And most people do like it how it is, but most of those people either don't know what gaming used to be like and what was taken away, or just simply don't care.

I feel your frustration.

After playing for upwards of 7 years myself, I definitely have had times where I feel terrible playing after having a bad experience against a particular champion, or a group of players who made the game a toxic environment.

Though I understand your frustration, sometimes it is better to take a step back and take a break for a little while. You mention you like playing with friends, I do as well. When I'm having a particularly bad day playing alone, it's always nice to play with some friends and let off some steam in ARAM or blind pick.

I don't believe Riot is necessarily money hungry, I'm happy they are one of the few companies that do microtransactions in an appropriate and respectable way.
I dislike pay to win and I'm happy that money can really only buy enjoyable cosmetics. The only slightly pay to win aspect (rune pages) is being changed to remove the pay to win aspect.

Best of luck to you on your future games, just know that it's only natural to have a frustrating game every once in awhile

First, it's not every once in a while, it's nearly every single game -- and I've played over 10,000 at this point. Every single game there's some braindead point and click auto win champ, or some asshole playing something like Yi who thinks he's an absolute god for playing one of the easiest champs in the game, or some ADC that won't shut up, or something. It's hard to enjoy yourself when half the roster is the definition of anti-fun for anyone but the person playing them.

And I don't have any friends. I play with my brother when he feels like it, but otherwise play alone. But, people in this game actually talk every now and then, unlike a lot of MMOs I've played where they only really interact with their guilds or people they know.

Any time I say Riot is greedy, people just assume I mean they're P2W and all that though... which is not even close. It's how they run their business, the things they do, the double standards they make, all the lies they tell -- things that most people wouldn't even believe were a thing or understand, since they don't know how a gaming company works on the inside.

The recent releases of legendary skins for Lee Sin, Caitlyn, Riven and Yasuo sadly lead me to believe the opposite, though. Meanwhile Cassiopeia hasn't seen a new skin in close to 4.5 years so far.

It feels extremely bad being a Cassmain, getting reminded how little your champion matters to the skin-team with every single update featuring yet another absurdly popular champion getting high quality content.

There is some extreme bias going on.
