Why is it so bad to climb back up to your rank?

Don't you play the game for FUN?? I Play the game because I like playing the game, its FUN to play, I don't see why climbin back up from GOLD V back to Plat is so bad, I enjoy doing it honestly, because it shows I can actually get back to where I was, if I can't, I never deserved that rank in the first place. and If I can, I just climb even further, thats the joy of rank, its suppose to be difficult and competitive, its why I find it FUN to play the game.
