counterplay is ridiculously OP

Ok i know what many of you think, another bronze noob who cries over nothing.

Maybe it's true, however even a bronze noob has a life and likes to play the game. I picked a nasus, the immediate response was a darius, i got smashed, i tried to farm safely but flash ignite and some bleeds were enough to make him obliterate me. Back to lane safe farm till little later his ignite is uo, another dive another ignite , dead. From then on it's a snowball, i swtich lanes with my adc and support, try to take bot by myself, dived again and again and again. GG see ya. I literally couldn't do shit in this darius matchup.

Same thing when i pick a vladimir and i play against a nasus, it's almost guarantee that no matter how good this nasus is i will obliterate him, poke to death, poke, poke, poke till i get 6 and all in him under his turret. It's redicilously OP i think counterplay needs a nerf ppl need to be based more on their personal skill and not the champion abilities

Draft pick.

Huh.

Why would you pick Nasus before you already know what the enemy Jungle and Top is? I mean, I realize you may have fun with the champ, but Nasus is a champion who requires an at least not bad matchup to really get mileage out of him. First picking Nasus or at least before the enemy Top Laner has picked, however, simply results in one of the easiest counter picks in the game.

there are ways to work around counter picks although usually it involves the missing of a lot of cs although you may be nasus it is needed in or to prevent the snowballing of darius or other counters sometimes you just have to play as if he is up by 10 from the start

Nobody thinks you cry over nothing. On the contrary; you cry over a lot.

this is Riot. the whole reason counterpicking is even a thing is because riot sucks at math and doesn't want to actually balance anything. You can either have a few champs that are properly balanced, or have a shit-ton of them and do a hell of a lot of work to balance them... or just resort to counters. It's much, much cheaper to do the latter, so they did.

There are very few well Balanced games. Starcraft with the brood war expansion is a good example. There are only 3 races, but very, very well balanced. Anything more than two is a huge challenge, esp when they differ so very much in characteristics.

It's a video game, it's impossible to perfectly balance everything. If you want balance, play chess, that's balance.

It makes me cry when first pick takes an easily counterable mid/top champion.

That's why when I'm first pick, I ask whoever wants to support/top/mid who they want to play and just switch with them if it's not an easy counter. As a jungle main, it's less important for me to be counterpicked, so if I'm third or so I ask first pick to switch with me so they don't get hard countered. Of course, there's a matter of trust there, but I'm not going to be an autolocking asshole :/

Part of the skill in this game is understanding counters. Competitive games like this have counters. That is how games work.

Tekken has counters. Star Craft has counters. Mortal Combat has countes. Magic the Gathering has counters.

Good video to explain balance in LoL:
