I recently heard some advice that has made a noticeable difference in my games and was wondering what other advice is out there that could help all of us get better.
The advice was: Don't rush an ult. Just because you can ult doesn't mean you should. Be patient and watch for the best time to ult.
Don't engage enemies in a pile of their minions. Discovered this is why I have a hard time in top lane...
Don't be scared to lose CS in order to roam or base, provided there's a good roam opportunity. CS is important in the sense that you want to last hit properly while you're in lane, and you don't want to be running around doing nothing while you can grab CS. But your gameplay should not revolve around getting high CS.
When playing botlane with a poor matchup... Shoot for that early level 2. Even in a bad matchup, if you can hit 2 and force a fight on them you can deal enough damage to mitigate their pressure from 2-4 (depending on how well the trade went).
Never chase a Singed
Dont chase without knowing where other enemies are.
Always remember to buy wards. Riot was even nice enough to put them in the 'recommended' section under consumables.
Even then I often forget to.
Also, remember to upgrade your trinket.
A kill is not always worth a death. If you get 1v5'ed it doesn't matter that you managed to solo their Sona first, they all just got assist gold.

Mindset of every player who insists that his losses are always his teammates' fault...
Watch for reasons to say gj or ty to teammates.
