A (fan made) time line of the people and places of Valoran.

**Beginning of Time: ** Runeterra and the Universe are born.

Time of the Watchers/Prehistoric Valoran: , her two sisters, and the Watchers all rule over the Freljord and apparently a good portion of Valoran as a whole. However, tensions are brewing as Avarosa leads a rebellion against the Frozen Watchers and sends them howling into the abyss. is frozen, and keeps watch for the prophesied return of the Watchers.

Inter-Period: Demons and Darkin such as Tahm Kench and are born.

Shurima Period/Time of the Great Desert Empire: The time that the great Shurimian Empire thrives among the desert sand. Beneath the all mighty power of the Sun Disk, rules over his lands with as his magus. However, Xerath betrays Azir by stealing away his ascension, and killing him in the process. The heroic Ascended brothers and manage to prevent Xerath's complete ascension by locking him in a sarcophagus. However, in order to fully seal him away, Renekton sacrifices himself by holding himself with Xerath in the chamber, and Nasus closes the doors. The once great Shuriman Empire falls as the Sun Disk collapses.

Fall of the Isles/Creation of the Shadow Isles: The Isles were once a group of islands that together, formed one of the most beautiful and diverse places in Valoran, and indeed Runeterra as a whole. Spirit and animal alike lived in harmony with the human inhabitants of the islands. Among these great spirits was , the strongest of them all. But, it was not to be. The king of these great Isles lost someone close to him, and overcome with grief, purposefully broke the barrier between the living and the dead. Thousands of evil and corrupted spirits flooded the Isles, and latched unto anything living. Horrified at what had become of his wonderful forest, Maokai bound himself to the oldest and strongest tree in the center of the forest and wrenched himself free of the lands. He cast himself into the ocean, but not before some corruption sunk into his bark. He floated to the mainland, confident that nature would spare his life. Of this mass defilement of life itself, a few creatures were created. holds a rather high place on the place now known as the Shadow Isles and serves as an omen of the Isles's wrath.

Inter-Period: The island of Ionia is founded by monks and prophets alike. Mount Targon, home to some of the world's greatest warriors and the Solari, is also created. The Solari worship the sun, and the greatest warriors are given the chance to command the power of the sun.

Old Warring Period: The city-states begin to take form. Two rise out as larger and more powerful than the others. Demacia, the self entitled "shining beacon of humanity" and Noxus, where only strength matters. Both are new, and are yet to iron out what they truly want to be. However, political differences have already caused multiple wars to take place between the two. Boram Darkwill rules Noxus, with as his right hand. However, lurks in the shadows, hoping to take the power of Noxus for himself. During a siege of an important Noxian fortress, Sion charges forward, sustaining multiple grievous injuries in the process. Sion dies, but snaps the neck of Jarvan I, the king of Demacia before he goes. Boram becomes paranoid, and attempts to revive Sion. However, instead of being intelligent as before, he is an abomination of destroys anything in his path on the battle field. He is sealed away as to not pose a danger to any others. Boram later dies of an unknown reason and Swain takes power.

Inter-War Period: Somewhere in between the wars of Noxus and Demacia, the city-states of Pilitover and Zaun are created. The land of the Yordles, Bandle City, is also created. most likely joins the ranks of the Shadow Isles during this time.

New Warring Period: The New Age. Noxus and Demacia still wage wars constantly. Pilitover and Zaun are now in a technological arms race, while new places are born, such as Bilgewater. Recent important events: , , , and all join the Shadow Isles. rises to complete power and becomes the new Hand of Noxus. is released from his prison and turned into a mindless weapon of war. Creatures of the Void begin to pour into Valoran, people such as and try to stem the tide or allow it to flow completely. leaves Demacia, and returns years later to begin taking a hold of the royal politics. Noxus attempts an invasion of Ionia, but pulls out after a few months of warfare.
