I am disappointed with how Riot handles reports.

It does not happen very often but sometime I get a player who rages in the postgame chat after saying nothing in-game. When this happens I cannot use the in-game report function because it does not show post or pre-game chat. I have to send in a report ticket but I don't do this for just any old rager. No. I only send in Support tickets when the rager goes way beyond everyline crossable. Generally this is death threats, extreme racist remarks and the like.

Again, this does not happen very often but when it does I expect Riot to take action against it. And I can see that these players are still playing weeks even months after I send the report. When someone says that they are going to go to someone's house and kill them Riot better fucking handle it. I know it is just some pissed off kid that will never do it but if I take the time to screenshot this and give you all of the information possible and give you 100% undeniable proof that this player gave a death threat then they need to be banned and when I see that they are still playing I get really pissed because Riot is not doing their job.

I agree when it reaches that kind of scale action of some form should be taken, and confirmation to the reportee would put a few more minds at ease even if it's simply automated, but as of right now you've sent in a support ticket and done all you could so good on you.

I'm hoping that the upgrades they're doing to Tribunal right now will include the pre- and post-game chat.

Since Riot's looking at reports right now, and they DO have access to pre- and post-game chat, you shouldn't need to file tickets right now for post-game abuse.

I would hope they have a zero tolerance policy for this sort of thing. But they won't comment on individual cases. It's also possible they gave the player a short term ban -- they're probably not going to permaban someone for a single instance of behavior like this.

Well postgame rage doesn't matter because it has no negative effects on the game. Pre-game should be included though

I agree, the whole reporting function needs a lot of work. It's very hard to punish people properly, and to report people for out of game stuff. Also, im still all for the idea of being able to ban people from a match in champion select. Im tired of having to dodge and lose play time and lp when someone else gets off the hook for being a total douche. The only problem I can see with that is that people in 3-4 man q could just ban people who wont follow along with whatever they want to do.

The tribunal simply stands no purpose, bans are randomly assigned and no one is ever reprimanded or punished for anything they do in-game, I get people who I report all the time for racist and homophobic comments that supposedly Riot takes seriously, but nothing is done about the players and they simply continue to spam chat with their poison every game. And worst of all, I have been reported for muting players who spam chat and verbally abuse other players and have been myself chat restricted for not typing all game. And I logged on the other day to find that I was banned for three days out of the blue and no reason was given on the client or in the email as to why I was banned. Riot, please start doing your job.
