I've tried it in AI and it works but I'm still not sure. Every time, I figure it's just a little difficult and he has little need for his kit... which to me is sad in itself. The soldiers only get in his way as it is. I'm still trying to figure this out.

Rew7111 votesIt actually didn't. I tried it after writing this and yes, at first, I wasn't doing good. But then, I reached 2.13 AS with this build: 
and was about to get 
because he was doing some real damage and holding up real well against a good kalista and morgana. We eventually won.
My soldiers where just going crazy with the AS. They didn't seem to even need the extra AP I'd gotten.
