why do people afk? And why doesn't Riot punish them?

Reasons it's acceptable to afk:

Freak accident (power outage, earthquake) Emergency (someone breaks an arm, cuts themselves really badly, etc)

Reasons it is NEVER acceptable to afk:

you want sex you're going out with friends it's dinner time you have class it's "bedtime" you're tired you have a shitty internet connection and you play ranked (don't say it's the servers, I have never dced due to internet issues - in fact i think i've afked twice ever and both times were due to a weird glitch that happens every now and again on my computer)

it feels like one team has a consistent afk every other game. Please people - when you queue up for ranked, you are dedicating at least 45 mins of your time. It's not that hard

Riot has an automatic system called leavebuster, if somebody just stands still for long periods of time it automatically punishes them.

One time I was camping in a bush so ridiculously long I got a warning lol
