I Feel Like AFKing In Ranked Is Still Not Punished Enough.

Or something idk because there are still a ton of AFKers... I think if 2 people are in their Series then anyone who AFKs should be permabanned or banned for 4-weeks. Obviously the new leaverbuster system is capable of telling the difference between AFK and DC... when they are 0/5 before 5 min then AFK they are most likely just AFKing. Its annoying that my series is being ruined because some annoying brat AFKs after taking Mid. I feel like they felt they could AFK because there would be no serious punishment, a serious punishment is a month of not being able to play on that acc and having all their LP reduced to 0, if they are below 20 LP they are automatically demoted. Like it needs to be serious where they are like "Hmm Im not doing so well right now, but if i AFK i am going to be punished way more then if i just lost this game...". Of course they might still feed on purpose to lose faster, in that case its obvious and when reported for Feeding, they will be 1-week banned and they lose double LP but the punishment will not be as severe because then they will still just AFK.

Thoughts on this? Im just sick of it not being a serious choice of "AFK and get banned for a month and be demoted" or "Just play it out and hope my team can carry me"... Right now its "Fuck this ill just deal with the punishment..." and this causes problems. Both me and the enemy Mao were in our series and Im going to fail mine and they will pass theirs not due to skill or teamwork or outplaying or better vision or better objective control or better team comp, but because some asshole decided he didnt feel like playing anymore... that decided the game... in fact we were winning even with him feeding right up until he AFK'd... At least while he was in they couldnt teamfight us and split push.

I know people are going to downvote me and flood the comment section with "OMG BUT WHAT ABOUT IF I DC AND ITS NOT MY FAULT?" I already said that the leaverbuster can tell the difference, plus if you are really negative really early on and are not improving, it is most likely you are AFKing on purpose. Also idc if you DC or AFK the point is we are down a person and im going to lose my series because of it. Shit happens and you gotta accept the consequences of said shit happening, this is how life works.

Hi, You can never judge someone afking from one specific instance. This is why the leavebuster system will evaluate more than one match. Something as you are suggesting would only cause problems. As an example, this week there was sever issues with WOW(isp) internet connection to NA servers. Many players had such high pings that the game was unplayable. People, such as myself, typically try leaving and reconnecting to hope for a better connection. Using your idea, people would be banned for this move. Even though they are trying to improve their ability to play, thus helping their team.

There is still hope for an improved Tribunal system. Who knows when/if we will get one though. Every situation is specific, and because of this your leaving/afking must be judged over time.
